So, you know how in Relief Society these days they have a "Good News Minute" to give anyone who wants to the opportunity to share any random bit of good news? Well, since pretty much the day Israel was born, I have been just waiting and longing for the day when I could raise my hand and then announce ecstatically to everyone present that he was sleeping through the night. Es ist die Ashley! Saturday, October 3, 2009. I decided just before we left to Lovelock that Israel needed a haircut. Es ist die Ashley! Tuesday, March 9, 2010. This was Israel's first trip to the beach. We spent much more time looking at the water than actually being in it. Israel does not care for cold water and was quite terrified by the waves. He didn't care at all for the sand either.at first. Fortunately he warmed up to it before long and soon got to really love digging in it and throwing it. I had to scrape about a pound of sand out of his scalp with a comb later that night. I like the way this picture turned out.

The problem: Israel is (of course) not tall enough to reach the basketball hoop on his own, so I am forced to lift him over and over and over again in the following manner until I feel that my arms might fall off.
