Likely Tales: May 2006
http://brianjwalton.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 29, 2006. 5:45 am. Sleepless in the airport. Gen 22:3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him and Isaac his son; and he split wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. Like Abraham, I'm just moving. It has stopped being a matter of service, or an act of faith, and it is now only motion, only action. Can God use me even now? Friday, May 19, 2006. Likely Tales: New Blog
http://brianjwalton.blogspot.com/2007/02/new-blog.html
Sunday, February 18, 2007. I'm in the process of switching this blog over to wordpress. The new blog will be www.brianjwalton.wordpress.com. Eventually I hope the site to be called simply www.brianjwalton.com. The new blog will have a "scripts" page which will have links to pdf versions, viewable in your browser, of old as well as current scripts. The scripts page won't be available on facebook (I don't think) so that will be the one thing you will miss out of if you only hang out on face book.

Likely Tales: Finding Reality in the Reels: Sundance 2007
http://brianjwalton.blogspot.com/2007/02/finding-reality-in-reels-sundance-2007.html
Friday, February 09, 2007. Finding Reality in the Reels: Sundance 2007. Every January, one of the largest film festivals in the world is held in the frigid mountain paradise of Park City, Utah, and for the last three years, Biola students have been there to see it all happen. The trip is a class under the Mass Communications Department, and as a senior, I signed up barely knowing what to expect. This truth is at the core of almost every Sundance film. From the bizarre to the transcendent, they speak ...

Tuesday, November 07, 2006. A script idea that came to me suddenly last night. This is a script idea that came to me suddenly last night. We open in a gulf town bracing for an oncoming storm. The storm has appeared suddenly, but it is not powerful to warrant a mass evacuation. Many of the public have chosen to stay behind and weather out the storm in local safe-houses: larger buildings such as schools, churches, and libraries. Quickly, the small group of residents become suspects and what was an effort t...

Likely Tales
http://brianjwalton.blogspot.com/2007/01/its-dangerous-business-going-out-of.html
Thursday, January 04, 2007. It's a dangerous business going out of your door. You step into the Road, and if you don't keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to.". With that in mind, I've decided not to make New Years Resolutions this year (other then the one I already made with my roommate to get our phone bill paid on time). I don't want to just take life at face value as I'm afraid so many people do. The world is vast! It's old and thick and rich with history and possibility.

Likely Tales: September 2006
http://brianjwalton.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 11, 2006. Reflections on Psalm 46. God is our refuge and our stregnth". In the echoes of history past rings the cry of "sanctuary! As men flee for shelter and safe haven. Do I treat God as my hiding place, as my refuge? What do I have to fear when I worship the God who speaks and the earth melts? The world is in turmoil. Nations rise up against nations, and what does the Psalmist have to say in response? And what does this mean? Shall I pause, be quited, and bate my breath?

Likely Tales: Valentine's Day and the Final Word on Love
http://brianjwalton.blogspot.com/2007/02/valentines-day-and-final-word-on-love.html
Friday, February 16, 2007. Valentine's Day and the Final Word on Love. For those of you who don't read the chimes, this is my Valentine's Day article on cupid, love, and the incoherence of modern romance.). Because of these difficulties, we spend a lot of time trying to rationalize a method to approaching love. We read books, talk to friends and occasionally go as far as seeking advice from our elders. However, there’s an aspect to this search that’s completely irrational. Cupid may strike at any time, s...
