Louise Martin Music Services. I teach the clarinet, saxophone and flute and it is a job that I enjoy and am extremely enthusiastic about. I like to ensure variety in lessons and try to integrate elements of both music theory and aural training into the pieces students are learning as these are essential skills for a student's development. Louise Martin Music Services. It is recommended that aural work is covered with your own teacher before a grade exam rehearsal. I am happy to run through tests but preparation for the aural tests should be covered in the weeks/months leading up to the exam. We are always looking for new members to join our orchestra and are in particular need of string, brass and percussion players. There are no auditions or trial periods and there is no minimum ability level. We usually aim to work on at least two or three pieces each term in preparation for a concert. The Portsmouth Philharmonia was set up in March 2009 by a small group of amateur musicians wanting to rehearse together on a regular basis. The orchestra's aim is to perform at least 2 concerts per year and to raise money for charity at each concert. We have recently enjoyed two concerts in which we raised substantial amounts for charity. On 5th March 2016 we once again collaborated with the Meon Valley Band to raise funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. And a total of 2,111.90 was raised. We then performed a concert on 20th March 2016 in aid of the RNLI. And a total of 597.57 was raised. We are currently working towards our own end of term concert on Sunday 17th July 2016 at 7.30pm, in aid of the Solent Diabetes Association.
