Understanding Laura: November 2005
http://understandinglaura.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
I am a crunchy oddball with too many ideas and too little time. Do you get me now? Sunday, November 20, 2005. The picture on the left was taken in April of this year. I weighed 160 pounds and those are Brian's pants! The picture on the right was taken in September at my niece's third birthday party. That's my youngest niece, Abbi. I weighed 146 pounds there. Ultimately, this weight loss was to impress Brian. But, in losing and keeping off a total of 20 pounds, I have new respect for myself. I didn't real...

Understanding Laura: June 2006

I am a crunchy oddball with too many ideas and too little time. Do you get me now? Wednesday, June 28, 2006. Brian gives his seal of approval on the completion of my rather large, rather daunting task. I organized all our camping gear and luggage. When did we get so many suitcases? You can't tell, but we have a LOT! I stored them inside each other. Duffels inside duffels,. Backpacks inside backpacks,. Purses and wallets inside one big bag. I never thought I would say it. My new system is pictured last.

Understanding Laura: March 2006
http://understandinglaura.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
I am a crunchy oddball with too many ideas and too little time. Do you get me now? Saturday, March 25, 2006. So, my bestest friend is tying the knot. I'm so thrilled for her! This makes me sad because she was my wingman, my go-to gal, my maid of honor. When we were in high school, we'd always talk about how we'd both be such integral parts of the other's wedding days. And she was there for me. I know it's silly, but I feel like I let her down. It's a bittersweet thing. I really am so proud of her. I thin...

Understanding Laura: August 2006
http://understandinglaura.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
I am a crunchy oddball with too many ideas and too little time. Do you get me now? Monday, August 28, 2006. This is Kellie in my belly at 19 weeks. And this is Kellie in my belly at 23 weeks. I can't see much of a difference. Except for the stretch mark peeking above my yoga pants. The mark under my tank isn't a stretch mark. Thank goodness! It's a mark from my clothes being too tight and me refusing to acknowledge that my bust has grown to the size that it is! I'm hoping I don't gain much more weight.

Understanding Laura: May 2006
http://understandinglaura.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
I am a crunchy oddball with too many ideas and too little time. Do you get me now? Wednesday, May 31, 2006. In today's society of open communication and unlimited information, one is hard pressed to find a woman who goes through pregnancy without first knowing the majority of the symptoms her body will rain upon her. I think it's safe to say it's just as hard to find a woman who doesn't know the timeline of said symptoms. So, who's to say? Maybe modern science has prevailed over my knowing my own body.

I am a crunchy oddball with too many ideas and too little time. Do you get me now? Monday, October 31, 2005. This is a picture of mine and my husband's first date. Brian took me to our high school's Christmas dance as a favor when, only days before, my then-boyfriend and I split up. We're now twenty-one and embarking upon a new path in life. Brian recently graduated from Air Force basic training. This new chapter in our lives has much potential for exciting changes. Posted by CrunchyChick @ 8:03 PM.

Understanding Laura: December 2005
http://understandinglaura.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
I am a crunchy oddball with too many ideas and too little time. Do you get me now? Friday, December 16, 2005. I'm in the mall, keeping my sister-in-law company whilst she has her hair colored, when I get a DEVASTATING phone call from Brian. His leave has been denied. I have no words. No way to describe the agony. I feel like I'm in a greek tragedy. I need CPR, mouth to mouth, first aid, a hefty shot of adrenaline. At first, I think,. What a terrible prank to play on a lovesick and LONELY woman! Well, my ...

I am a crunchy oddball with too many ideas and too little time. Do you get me now? Monday, July 31, 2006. To Make a Statement. Our room was lacking character. I had this to work with. And this is the final outcome. I can honestly say I slept better last night. Then I woke up to my dog having eaten my retainer! I was so lit up! What can you do, though? I can't make her give it back. It's not like I could just pop it back into my mouth. Posted by CrunchyChick @ 9:58 AM. Saturday, July 29, 2006. Skips over ...

Understanding Laura: April 2006
http://understandinglaura.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
I am a crunchy oddball with too many ideas and too little time. Do you get me now? Sunday, April 30, 2006. Dog Clothes and Maternity Clothes. Okay, okay. So they're not DOG clothes. They're MY clothes. But Zoe had it coming! She's too gentle and fun-loving for her own good. She hardly put up a struggle. And when I saw how freakin' cute she looked, I just HAD to take a picture. FYI: I asked Brian's permission to post a half-naked picture of him with our dog on my blog. So, yes, he knows. This is a nothing...
