A valuable part of the education program at Gyalwa Karmapa's new school will be provided by guest teachers from abroad. Under their guidance, students will have the opportunity to learn and deepen English language skills, mathematics, science and geography as well as participate in various workshops on handicrafts, healthcare, sports and the field of the arts. Long-term stay / Sabbatical Year at KCE. We are primarily looking for teachers, who would like to spend several months or a sabbatical year at KCE.

The design of the new school will reflect the village character:. At the center of the school is a big courtyard that is ideal for studying, playing together or having an outdoor meal. A collection of many smaller houses will allow for a family-like atmosphere. Common rooms, a large square etc. provide space for many joint activities. The central architectural focal point will be a large building built in the style of a temple. It will house a large shrine room and has enough space for common events.

The target groups of our new school are children from different populations of the Indian Himalaya region. These populations include the Lepcha and Bhutia tribes which belong to the original inhabitants of the region around Kalimpong. But also Sherpas, Tamangs as well as Bhutanese and Tibetan families settled in India. Preserving Tradition and Dharma in the Himalayas. Many families of this region belong to the poor rural population and are mainly farmers.
