A Blog about India and Indians. Tuesday, June 12, 2007. I don't know what keeps me calling back to the mountains and splashing water streams. Morning and once again I was on the banks of holy Ganga. This time we had plans to spend day 1 at Neer garh, Vashishth Gufa, sandy beaches and day 2 at Nilkanth and Garud chatti. Fore noon at the Neer Garh waterfalls was excellent and while coming back one of our partners, Phl, fractured his arm badly. We had to cancel all plans and return immediately.

I didn't get around to make this post since then; and now, with all the time lag, its going to be just a picture post . Cauvery - almost at a standstill. Supposed to be a riverside resort. Though this was all we could see of the Cauvery - and not with ease either. Toy train in a play area near Raja's seat. Couldn't get any clear pictures from Rajah's seat viewpoint due to the haze. The pathway at Abbey Falls.

Tuesday, October 16, 2012. In an around Bangalore - Nandi Hills. It is essentially a small hill, about 60 kms from where I reside. You can drive up to the top of the hill, where there is a garden, and an ancient temple. It might have been a beautiful place, but for the ill-maintained garden, and lot of construction (presumably for some resort-cottages) that will block the nice view you can have from the top of the hill. Friday, April 16, 2010. For some reason, a month before the wedding date, I decided that I needed new windows and sliding glass doors. After two and a half years, I did not want to feel a draft at night anymore and this was clearly the right time to do this project! I had 3 workmen come out and install vinyl double pained Energy Star windows and doors. It was cool to see them bring everything in and cut some of the outer layers to spec.
