The journey continues…. Camino de Santiago 2014. Last day in Zanzibar – island hopping with Safari Blue. This taken from the dhow next to us – I am in the blue and yellow tshirt. Slipper crayfish, local potato bread. View of the dhows while we lunched. We lunched on an assortment of seafoods and cold beers and fruits and lazed on a sandy island for an hour or so. Safari Blue, the company who owns the dhows and takes the travellers around, excel in keeping their guests quenched and busy. December 10, 2015.

The journey continues…. Camino de Santiago 2014. Zanzibar is known as the Spice Island – and for good reason. Slightly inland and north and east of Stonetown, a green area known as the Spice Tour consists of dozens of local spice farms. The guides are friendly and informative and we got to taste see and smell spices we have only ever seen in jars. Google for better pics and more spice information! We swam with turtles who are being rehabilitated and live for now in a tidal pool near Nungwi. These gentle creatures are HUGE but so peaceful. We fed them green seaweed. They love.
