The small children are brought together to form a playgroup where they are taught to play with puzzles and blocks. They are encouraged to draw and taught craftwork. School going children are encouraged to take advantage of the tutor provided by Karuna so that they can do well in their studies. 70 odd children from the age of 3 months to 14 years are given a glass of milk with a boiled egg/banana daily. A well equipped clinic has been established in the colony. Dressing of wounds pressure sores and ulcers are done daily. This service is done free of charge. A doctor is availble twice a week for consultations. Patients are also escorted to the local hospitals when required. Assistance is given to proform eye surgeries, and when patients are admitted in the hospitals for various treatment like malaria, etc. Spectacles, clutchs, walkers and footwear are provided for those who need them.
