James and Tracy have briefly visited us for 1 day before heading off to Cuba for lots of chilling and basking in the sun - how great! Steve has cooked his flagship cottage pie and after dinner we went for a roam around Wapping and visited some of the old pubs alongside Thames. It was nice to catch up indeed. Links to this post. Monday, 28 February 2011. World premiere of the Alice in Wonderland ballet at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. The night felt very special. Everybody was dressed up for the occasion. Many, really beautiful dresses, a treat in itself. Wonderful colourful decorations around the house with bits and pieces relating to the storyline. We arrived half hour earlier so were able to stroll around with a nice glass of red (! Wine admiring all things around us. Lauren Cuthbertson did Alice justice.

Saturday, 14 January 2012. We had a good view on the orchestra too. I particularly loved the flutes and the harps used, in this piece, so beautifully by Tchaikovsky. Ricardo Cervera and Iohna Loots were very good as Hans Peter and Clara. But the absolute hit for us was Steve McRae who danced with the great Sugar Plum Fairy Robeta Marquez. Links to this post.
