http://www.adventuresinhuckville.net/2011_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 20, 2011. I never really liked. Uggs, until I came across a pair on the Zappos.com website that would be perfect for the rain. They are Uggs that look like duck shoes and they come in a bunch of different colors. Anyways, I think I would like the black ones for work. All black in a size 8.5, here is a pic:. They will keep my feet warm while keeping my feet dry! I will start on the wreath tonight, but it will probably take a few nights, but I'll post picks before Thanksgiving! I also foun...

Adventures in Huckville: ~ Bulletproofing The Bed ~
http://www.adventuresinhuckville.net/2013/01/bulletproofing-bed.html
Saturday, January 26, 2013. Erin and I finally got some proper bedroom furniture - a new bed and matching dresser. The new bed was exactly what we wanted but it had one glaring issue. The mattress sagged in the gaps between the slats and we knew there was no way that was going to work. A call to the store let me know that an additional slat package for a king bed was supposed to be shipped but as it was Friday and the factory is in Cary, NC we were on our own. Slats screwed into 2x4 runners. Plywood that...

Friday, November 23, 2012. My First Pecan Pie. This year Craig said he wanted a Pecan Pie for dessert. I've never made one before, so I wasn't sure how hard it would be or how it would turn out, but I gave it a shot anyways! To my surprise it was so easy AND Craig loved it! He is a picture of it right after I pulled it out of the oven:. That's a pretty pie, if I do say so myself. I may make another for Christmas.it's really simple and like I said before, Craig loved it! So glad Craig likes my cooking!

Adventures in Huckville: August 2011
http://www.adventuresinhuckville.net/2011_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 28, 2011. If you haven't noticed by now Craig and I love the beach, so much so that we got married on the beach and we are decorating our home like a beach cottage. We both love shells, the color blue, the sound of the waves, and just the overall relaxing feel of being at the beach. When Craig and I were on our honeymoon we came across this cute store called FantaSea at Broadway on the Beach in Myrtle Beach. I could have spent all day in that store! They also have a Facebook page. 3 (10 bi...

http://www.adventuresinhuckville.net/2012/07/so-long-bachelor-leather-couchhello-new.html
Friday, July 6, 2012. So long bachelor leather couch.Hello new comfy cloth couch. I know Craig was a little sad to see his old leather couch and matching leather chair go as 2 men from Goodwill came and took them away at the beginning of June. Bye-Bye old leather couch.I hope you find a new family who will love you just as much as Craig did. I found a couch I really liked and Craig said it was comfy, but we didn't buy it that first day we saw it. When we came back a few weeks later it was gone and I ...

Adventures in Huckville: March 2012

Monday, March 12, 2012. The Best Laid Plans. Erin and I are fast approaching our first anniversary, and right now we should be finalizing our plans for a weekend getaway to celebrate that fact.but it appears the hands of fate have tossed a few monkey wrenches our way. Remember that bad back I mentioned? Yeah, ruptured disc that required surgery. Here is the scan from before the surgery:. They cleaned it all up March 5th, so no bending, twisting, or lifting for me for the next six months or so.

Adventures in Huckville: January 2012
http://www.adventuresinhuckville.net/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 15, 2012. A few random news and notes. Speaking of Google , I've tried to help Erin use it, but that just reminds me that I am terrible at teaching or explaining things to others. I usually forget the person I'm talking to is not familiar with the terminology I'm using, then I tend to swing too far the other way and try explaining with pictures or far too imperfect analogies. No pictures yet, but the office desk is taking shape. I need a space to work, so I'm converting the smallest b...

Adventures in Huckville: September 2011
http://www.adventuresinhuckville.net/2011_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 21, 2011. At least I can make a Bundt. Here is a picture of the Bundt cake I made with cream cheese icing the same week of Craig's birthday cake disaster! This one turned out perfect (NOT a Williams-Sonoma recipe or pan.read post below for further explaination) and was so moist and yummy! Craig said I can make that one anytime I want…he really loved it! Lordy, Lordy, Look who just turned 40! No, not me! I still have a few years to go before I catch up with my husband. Then Craig foun...
