Welcome to our family blog. Tuesday, February 12, 2013. This past week has been very exciting in the Silver home! Last Monday Charley stood up by herself for the first time. Then on Tuesday she took 3 steps, by herself. On Thursday she took five steps and then on Friday morning she stood up and walked across the room! Since Friday she has been walking all over the house! She is even starting to walk while holding toys in her hands. There is no stopping her now! Playing with Grandpa and Lola. Super Bowl t...

The Silver Bunch: October 2013
http://thesilverbunch.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Welcome to our family blog. Monday, October 21, 2013. Our week at the coast! For our family vacation this year we decided to go spend a week at the coast. Charley has never been to the ocean so we thought this would be a great time to take her. We ended up renting a house right off of highway 1 just outside of Pescadero. We had wonderful weather and had so much fun hanging out at the beach and exploring some of the quaint coastal towns. The view from our bedroom! Charley meets the ocean! We decided to ma...

The Silver Bunch: Christmas In Meadow Vista
http://thesilverbunch.blogspot.com/2014/03/christmas-in-meadow-vista.html
Welcome to our family blog. Saturday, March 15, 2014. Christmas In Meadow Vista. It's very important to me that as Charley gets older we celebrate Christmas at home. I just find it so much more appealing than lugging a child and presents all over the country. So this was our first year celebrating Christmas at our home in Meadow Vista. But we made sure to include New Mexico by having a New Mexican inspired Christmas dinner which included homemade tamales, posole, and biscochitos! Barefoot in the kitchen.

Everyday Musings of a 60-Something Grandma: HUSBAND SUPER STORE
http://gagamusings.blogspot.com/2015/03/husband-super-store.html
Everyday Musings of a 60-Something Grandma. Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Okay, I've been working on a blog post titled "The Minds of Men". It is being written with the utmost love in my heart for the men in my life as I try to make sense of the way they think. In all fairness, I decided that before I posted that story, I should give the men a little more insight into us women. Recently, a "Husband Super Store" opened where women could go to. The men increasing in positive attributes as you ascended. Extremely...

Everyday Musings of a 60-Something Grandma: June 2015
http://gagamusings.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Everyday Musings of a 60-Something Grandma. Saturday, June 6, 2015. Back in the day I was never a huge fan of “wrestling”. I’m not talking about the collegiate type competitions but the rock ‘em, sock ‘em, throw 'em across the ring, kick your butt type wrestling that was on every Friday night. But, I will admit to knowing who Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper and Haystack Calhoun were. Called “Sasuke”, of which “American Ninja Warrior” is a spin-off. I recall seeing it a few times when Charley was just a tin...

Everyday Musings of a 60-Something Grandma: A DAY IN THE LIFE OF CHARLEY & GAGA
http://gagamusings.blogspot.com/2015/04/a-day-in-life-of-charley-gaga.html
Everyday Musings of a 60-Something Grandma. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF CHARLEY and GAGA. The other day I had the privilege of spending several hours with my adorable Charley Ellen while her mom attended to some appointments. The first thing we HAD to do was watch "Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast".for the third consecutive time that I visited her! After awhile I said, "Okay, that's good. Let's go throw them away." Her response was, "No, Gaga! We're not done yet! We must ha...

Everyday Musings of a 60-Something Grandma: THE WALMART ADVENTURE
http://gagamusings.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-walmart-adventure.html
Everyday Musings of a 60-Something Grandma. Thursday, July 9, 2015. I learned long ago that you must be in the right frame of mind before attempting to shop at WalMart. You cannot be in a hurry.you cannot be upset with people blocking the aisles.you cannot expect exemplary customer service.AND you certainly cannot expect an answer as to why they have 26 cash registers and only 8 are open no matter how busy. With my basket full I went in search of a short line. Fortunately, it was midday and I found a...

Everyday Musings of a 60-Something Grandma: August 2014
http://gagamusings.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Everyday Musings of a 60-Something Grandma. Monday, August 18, 2014. IT'S ALL PART OF THE ADVENTURE. You know how some times things just all come together for a great day? Things aren’t necessarily all easy or perfect but at the end of the day, you have a warm fuzzy feeling. Yesterday was one of those for me. It began with me in at my dad’s. We had plans to bring him up to. This was also the first time most of the family would meet Darrin and Allison’s exchange student, Eva, here from. Awhile ago I had m...
