Nature in Katavi NP. Group of elephants near Ikuu. There are two types of Miombo woodland in Tanzania, the wet and the dry. The Miombo woodland of Katavi is that of dry woodlands. Miombo is a decidous unarmed woodland occurring in the unimodal rainfall areas of East and Central Africa on old acidic sand soils.
