The End of the Line- Stop seeking. Be. Written by Kate • November 5, 2017 •. Be Here. Now. The End of the Line. There comes a point in each of our spiritual journeys that we know it’s time to stop seeking validation, knowledge, or input from any more external sources. No matter how enlightened the guru, skilled the expert, or inspiring the author, there comes a time when it’s time to just do the work. The Work. Be Here. Listen to the silence. Notice your thoughts and feelings rise up and float away.

What Peace Corps Taught Me- Connection. Written by Kate • June 21, 2012 •. In an ongoing series about what I learned from my service in the Peace Corps, this article is on connection. My first two articles in this series are:. What Peace Corps Taught Me- A Series. What Peace Corps Taught Me- Presence. Time and Opportunity Enough to Connect. But with our two-year commitment, we were afforded the time and the opportunity enough to connect, to share our deepest selves with each other. It is this level of co...

Week 29 « Kate Allen

http://www.kate-allen.com/2015/02/04/week-29

Written by Kate • February 4, 2015 •. Kate at 29 weeks. After all of my struggles to gain weight in the middle weeks from weeks 18 to 26, I find myself easily gaining one pound a week. But I can also feel how big the babies are getting so I think it may be all them. From Dr. Barbara Luke. 8216;s book, When You’re Expecting Twins, Triplets, or Quads 3rd Edition: Proven Guidelines for a Healthy Multiple Pregnancy. I had another 2 week check (at 29w and 6d) and their heart beats were excellent. His was ...

Written by Kate • February 3, 2015 •. Kate at 28 weeks. This week, which started on Jan 21st, 2015, feels like the pregnancy has really kicked in. I feel larger than I ever have and much heavier in my abdomen, which makes it harder to get off the sofa. My feet are swelling much more than before starting at the ankles. Apparently this is pretty common in all pregnant women, including those with singleton pregnancies. Babies are head down at 28 weeks. I want to deliver at 38 weeks which is about April 1st ...

Posts Tagged ‘Action’. Written by Kate • May 23, 2012 •. Image Thanks to ATurkus. I know most people complain, it feels so good to do it sometimes. And there are a rare few who take it to such a level that it becomes an art form such that it is akin to entertainment to hear the way they complain. It can be fun to witness this level of complaining. Complaining Gives Your Power Away. Complaining Focuses Your Attention On One Moment In Time. Instead, you can acknowledge it happened and that it kinda sucked ...

The Art of Gratitude [and Vision Boards] « Kate Allen

http://www.kate-allen.com/2013/03/18/the-art-of-gratitude-and-vision-boards

The Art of Gratitude [and Vision Boards]. Written by Kate • March 18, 2013 •. My view one morning last summer visiting a lake. One thing I’ve tried to do, with varying levels of success, is to make sure that I say my thanks at the end of each day, that I give gratitude for all I have, all I’ve experienced, seen, and felt. I see now that the reason why it’s been with varying levels of success is that I didn’t realize how much I was just doing it by rote. What is your experience with feeling the feelings?

All Things Great and Small

All Things Great and Small. Musings of a Canadian trying to make it in London. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. This could well be my last blog post from London. Things are wrapping up here and in a couple of days the laptop will be packed up and shipped back to Canada. Unless something really exciting happens in the next couple of days I may not update the blog. I was surprised to see that it's been 2 weeks since I last posted, time sure does fly! So I'm working on it. Speaking of being unemployed - it rocks!
