Thursday, December 15, 2011. When I met my darling hubby, his 3 kids were 10, 8 and 5. We met in the spring, and while we were dating, I remember being amazed at how much time was able to spend with me, even while being a very involved dad to 3 very busy kids. Then November arrived and C mentioned that HAP all played on recreational basketball teams. Fun! Sport is entertaining to watch, so sure! Let's watch HAP play some BBall! Great, C said! Friday, September 30, 2011. It's a quiet Friday night at our house, only kids in the house are H and R. P is out with his girlfriend and A is at a sleepover. It's so neat to see how the kids social lives have evolved over the last few years. P has a lovely girlfriend, and he is really good boyfriend, I have to say. Even though I am only his stepmom. Sunday, October 13, 2013. We survived the NYC Con! The NYC Comic Con, that is. A family friend of ours works at DC Comics in New York, and was able to score our family Saturday passes to Comic Con New York, which made my hubby just about explode from pure, geeky joy! I am not really into comics. I am not really into sci-fi. But. my college roommate lives in Brooklyn, and I don't get to see her that often, so I was in for a day of hanging out with my girlfriend and going shopping. So fun! THAT will be fun!

Monday, December 22, 2008. Counting Our Christmas Blessings. It's always so easy for me to get caught up in the commercial side of Christmas. I love to shop and decorate and fuss over Christmas details like the perfect stockings and nice wrapping jobs. so I thought I would take a minute to count my true Christmas blessings this year. 1 I am so excited to be carrying my first child, and so far, everything is going very smoothly. 2 C and I have good jobs, and live within our means. 5 My family is healthy.

Saturday, October 26, 2013. It was an absolutely beautiful fall day today! Sunny and crisp and full of activity! R had his last swimming lesson of his session and got a very good "report card" from his swim teacher. She suggested one more Eel session and then thought he would be ready to move up to Ray! R also got a really cute YMCA swimming t-shirt, nice! Here R is as mild-mannered Peter Parker. I think he looks like he belongs in a Hans and Frans skit from SNL. And he's been working out at the gym!
