Thoughts on life with MS, bereavement and other things. June 17, 2015. June 17, 2015. Following on from the amazingly positive feedback I received from my first blog post, I am approaching my second attempt with some trepidation. It’s like that tricky second album after the debut one goes platinum! Just as I hadn’t anticipated retiring from work at 28, neither had I expected to become a widow at 39! A Story of the Ultimate Adventure: Adoption and Motherhood! Tag Archives: mama moments. Some Nights You Gotta Dance. Posted in Great Moments in Parenting. Mr E has always had a very reliable bedtime routine, since about six months old, and for this I am grateful. He embraces the routine and expects it, so putting him to bed is almost never a challenge. I’ve encountered one obstacle throughout the years regarding bedtime, and he goes by the name of Dada, aka, the Hubs. You come cuddle now! I’m a lit...

The bubble is not in the picture, but I assure you, it was awesome. E posed next to this gigantic sleeping/dead crocodile. I am confident that this experience will only take up very little of the therapy time he will now likely need as an adult. Consequently, this will be the last year we make excuses about the “necessity” of a...No adopti...

A Story of the Ultimate Adventure: Adoption and Motherhood! The hubs and I decide to pull the proverbial goalie and make a baby. Both sides of our family are obnoxiously fertile so it never occurs to us that we will not conceive right away. I visit my OB to make sure all my parts are in working order. She does a minimal exam with minimal tests and sends me off with the reassurance that everything is doing what it is supposed to do. (It’s not: see June 2014). Pregnancy test is POSITIVE! December 4, 2013:.
