Kate goes some places

Kate goes some places. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. So this is the end of seven months of crazy traveling adventures. I'm writing this from Massachusetts, which is colder but sunnier than Denmark. I will certainly miss Denmark. It was an absolutely amazing semester and I met some really awesome people. But there are some nice things about being home. As I said it's sunny. I don't have to cook. I get to see my family and friends. Still, I hope I can go back to Denmark at some point. When we did arrive in M...

Kate goes some places: Norway!

http://katebikeanddenmark.blogspot.com/2009/11/norway.html

Kate goes some places. Sunday, November 29, 2009. I just got back from an amazing trip to Oslo, Norway. It was short but sweet (and cheap, due to a friend getting tickets from her host family! To get there we boarded an overnight boat. The boat ride was fun, with plenty of Christmas decorations and cool people to hang out with. Top of the Opera House. Scream (photo from google, no cameras allowed in museum). Our walk continued to the Nobel Peace Prize institute. We didn't go inside the museum but loo...

Kate goes some places: Returning to Prison

http://katebikeanddenmark.blogspot.com/2009/12/i-should-be-writing-my-12-page-1.html

Kate goes some places. Wednesday, December 9, 2009. I should be writing my 12 page 1.5 spaced paper that is due Friday about how Nestle kills babies. But instead I am going to write about my second visit to a Danish prison, with the same class that I went with before. Once again, this was one of my favorite Danish experiences of the semester. It's really just so fascinating to see how completely different it was than in the US. They also place a large emphasis on education in the prison, which seems like...

Kate goes some places: May 2009

http://katebikeanddenmark.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Kate goes some places. Tuesday, May 12, 2009. So I did my first real ride at home yesterday. But anyway, the real reason for this post is that I found this video that I really like:. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? It's of police in Denmark giving hugs and helmets to passing bikers. I like it cause it's about bikes and Denmark. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'm a 22 year old recent college grad/ future law student. I plan to bike across the country this summer to raise money to fight cancer!

Kate goes some places: October 2009

Kate goes some places. Thursday, October 29, 2009. Happy birthday to me. Happy birthday to me. Happy birthday dear me. Happy birthday to me. Yeah, 21st birthday! Wednesday, October 28, 2009. My run-in with the Danish police. So, I got pulled over today. How, you might be wondering? My bike. Do you see a light on it? That's because there isn't one. Luckily, as my friend put it, some combination of being blonde, female, and American got me off with only a verbal warning. Labels: Danish Law Enforcement.

The Daily Bogo: September 2009

http://thedailybogo.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Rants, Raves, Rambles. Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Thing of the Day: Other People. Several of my wonderful followers (bored friends whose Safari won't let them download StumbleUpon. So, since I am doing nothing worth reporting (short of attending the Tennessee State Fair on Sunday and consuming thousands of calories of white trash, funnel cake, hush puppy, and cheese fries. It's hard being a vegetarian at southern state fairs. Also, Tennessee is the 6th fattest state. 1 Marilyn Manson has swine flu.
