Trails Around the Globe. Friday, May 22, 2015. You've probably never heard of Madaba. Really, I had no interest in it until we went. It was SO great! It is a town in Jordan where there are ruins of 2000 - 3000 year old buildings. Some of the ruins there still have incredible tile mosaics on the floors- and you can go look at them. Trails Around the Globe. Sunday, May 3, 2015. This is the Indiana Jones place, people! It is beautiful, amazing in scope, and a lot of walking. Our little People did so well, and we enjoyed the unbelievable views. Standing below a fig tree growing in the Siq. Steps leading to the High Place of Sacrifice. This is a family of tired hikers! Zoeth on a hill near the Monastery. When you are tired of hiking you can ride a donkey for a little while :-). We found a baby goat wandering around among the tourists.

Trails Around the Globe. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Jerusalem and Bethlehem, Israel. We spent 3 days visiting Israel. This part of the trip was more about the experience and less about good pictures. Pictures below:. Overlooking the holy sites and Herod's palace in Bethlehem. Having a snack at Shepherd's Field. Mural by Banksy in the West Bank. Trails Around the Globe. Sunday, May 3, 2015. Wadi Rum, Jordan. T E Lawrence made Wadi Rum famous during WWI and became known as Lawrence of Arabia. Our stay included an 1.5 hour camel ride from the small town out to a Bedouin camp, dinner and night music under the stars (totally amazing view out in the desert under clear skies!
