Art in the Park. In this program I take visitors to AY Jackson Lake and teach them how to paint a simple water colour. I teach water colour on week-long trips on sea kayak trips to the North Shore of Lake Huron. John Island YMCA Camp. I teach three day events at in the North Channel and at Camp Queen Elizabeth in Honey Harbour on Beau Soleil Island. 4 day workshop at Charlton Lake Lodge. During the summer months she instructs watercolour sketching at Killarney Provincial Park, YMCA’s Camp Queen Elizabeth and John Island, Camp Manitou as well as on Paddle and Paint trips in Georgian Bay and the North Channel. Marlies finds the simplicity of soft pastels a most satisfying medium to use in the summer. They fit easily into a backpack and travel well in a canoe or kayak.
