Kate Scott Writes: September 2014
http://www.katescottwrites.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2014. What's Up Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jaime Morrow. Head over to Jaime's page for links to find out what's up with everyone else. Here's what's up with me. Lots and lots of picture books. I need to get back in the habit of reading adult books. I really really do! This week it's going to happen, I swear. On the MG side of things, I'm still reading The Diary of the Wimpy Kid. My sophomore novel, The Evolution of Emily. Do you want one? What Works for Me. This past week...

Wednesday, November 12, 2014. What's Up Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jaime Morrow. Head over to Jaime's page for links to find out what's up with everyone else. Here's what's up with me. We checked it out from the library last week, and just returned it yesterday. I was so sad to see this book go, I'm seriously planning on buying it. I actually looked for it at my local indie bookstore and since it wasn't there, I think I may need to order it on line. It's that good of a book. And Counting to D.

The Evolution of Emily. Thanks to her sister's special interest in biology, Emily knows all about the birds and the bees. Boys are a lot more confusing! Readers who enjoyed Counting to D will won't want to miss Scott's second novel, also set at Kennedy High School. Look for the third book in the Kennedy High Series in the spring of 2015. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Celebrating Life on the Outside. Young adult author of COUNTING TO D (Elliott Books). Hitting a bookstore near you in February 2014.
Kate Scott Writes: July 2014

Monday, July 28, 2014. The Evolution of Kate. As an author, I spend a lot of time thinking about character arcs. The idea that people can and do change sits at the root of storytelling. If characters can change, it makes sense that real life people would change too. As a writer, I feel like this is an important lesson on character as well. Lives change not people- people grow. My second novel, coming out this fall, is titled The Evolution of Emily. I titled this blog post The Evolution of Kate. By Lynda ...

Bookworm for Kids: Counting to D by Kate Scott with Giveaway!
http://bookwormforkids.blogspot.com/2014/01/counting-to-d-by-kate-scott-with.html
Reviews for children books - from toddlers to teens and everything in between. Monday, January 20, 2014. Counting to D by Kate Scott with Giveaway! Expected Publication: February 11, 2014. The only one I might have is that toward the end, the dyslexia problem began to feel a little heavy, but this by no means hurt the story! The length was perfect, not too short and not too long. I also enjoyed the fact that the type was a little bigger than usual. As of February 11th, 2014, available:. You can find her:.

Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Review: Counting to D. Counting to D by Kate Scott. February 11, 2014. Edelwiess for an honest review. I loved this book. In this book you can relate to the characters, Sam goes through a lot of the same everyday issues that face new students everywhere. She tries to create a new her. She doesn't tell anybody about her disability and lets them all think that she is normal. Eventually all of her friends find out about her learning disability. September 24, 2015 at 6:58 AM.
Pensive Sarcasm: April 2012
http://pensivesarcasm.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 12, 2012. Agent Kristin Nelson In An Elevator. If by sheer happenstance you find yourself in a hotel which happens to be hosting a writers' conference, and if at that conference there happens to be some of the publishing industries biggest names, and if you happen to be a writer who has queried some of these big-named agents, it would behoove you to prepare for the possibility you might happen upon one of those agents. Sadly, I didn't come up with this advice before needing it. Brilliant ...

Pensive Sarcasm: Jamaican Mario
http://pensivesarcasm.blogspot.com/2012/08/jamaican-mario.html
Friday, August 31, 2012. I had to ask for clarification because I don't have a ready stable of girls to just send off to Jamaica, or anywhere else, on such short notice. Unfortunately, Mario didn't offer the kind of details that could help me help him. I needed to know what kind of girls he wanted. Nice girls, he said. What did he want to do with them? I needed more information. What were Mario's interests? Where in Jamaica does he live? Again I asked for more details so I could find just the right girl.
Pensive Sarcasm: I'm So Out Of It
http://pensivesarcasm.blogspot.com/2013/05/im-so-out-of-it.html
Wednesday, May 22, 2013. I'm So Out Of It. What I have been is tired. Mama Sarcasm found herself pregnant about eight months ago and it has been less than easy. With almost an entire trimester of bedrest I have become Single Dad, Nursemaid, Housekeeper and I still occasionally have to go to work. At any rate, there is less than a month until Number Two arrives and then I will have even less time for anything. I suppose I can get back into it when Number Two starts Kindergarten. See you in five years.
Pensive Sarcasm: Free Glasses From Firmoo
http://pensivesarcasm.blogspot.com/2013/04/free-glasses-from-firmoo.html
Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Free Glasses From Firmoo. Apparently I am an influential blogger. This according to the fine people at Firmoo, who offered me, an influential blogger, free glasses if I would write about them on my influential blog. Apparently they failed to mention my lack of blogging for all of 2013. While this is certainly not how I planned to return to blogging, a deal is a deal. So I ordered these glasses from a website, www.firmoo.com. The lenses are a lot larger than I'm used to and quite c...

Tuesday, January 20, 2015. 2014 was a big year for me, and I'm hoping you can help make 2015 even better. 2014 included several enormous changes in my life. My first novel, Counting to D. Was released in February and my second novel, The Evolution of Emily. Came out in November. To keep things hopping, I also adopted two children in August. Then I quit my day job, which means if I want to feed these children, I need to sell books. Has 27 reviews on Amazon. And 111 reviews on Goodreads. The number of revi...

Kate's Country
November 29, 2011. I Will Always Love You, Dolly. I, like most people, have always known who Dolly Parton is. The sky is blue, the grass is green, Dolly Parton has humongous boobs. My first encounter with her music, however, came in the 1990's, when I, like every other pre pubescent school girl became a fan of Australian band Frente, thanks to their catchy pop number Accidentally Kelly Street. Anyway I was given the single for Christmas that year, or perhaps it was my birthday? Here You Come Again. On th...
