Tuesday, August 21, 2007. Now the animal recognition project is going quite well. Today we started going through the Animal Flash Cards I bought her a few months ago. At the start of the day all she was interested. In was eating the cards, but by the end of the day things started to look up. I would pull out. Friday, June 15, 2007. Kate turned 5 months old on June 4 th. She is growing so fast! Some of her latest milestones are laughing hysterically and sitting up with little support. The laughing just melts my heart. It is so wonderful to hear that little laugh! Scott, Kate, and I just returned from a trip to New Mexico. The trip was partially inspired by my grandmother's 90 th. The story of our daughter's ALL Journey. The very next day, on August 15th, our beautiful 2 year old was diagnosed with high risk Pre-B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. While this is a very treatable type of pediatric cancer, Kate is in for a long road with a treatment schedule of just over 2 years. Thanks to the love and support of friends like you, Kate’s Krew will stomp out this leukemia and she will go on to live the beautiful, healthy and full life she so richly deserves.
