LIFE'S MOMENTS: I'm made of coconut oil
http://kateandannamoments.blogspot.com/2015/08/i-made-of-coconut-oil.html
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and discover they were the big things." -Robert Brault. Sunday, August 2, 2015. Im made of coconut oil. It turns out I "melt" at the same temperature as coconut oil. When I get my oil out to moisturizer before bed, I know that if I'm crabby from the heat, it will be clear. If I'm a bit uncomfortable, it'll be runny, but still white. If I get it out and it's solid, I hadn't even thought about the temperature, because I feel just fine! Anna, 8 years old.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and discover they were the big things." -Robert Brault. Sunday, July 26, 2015. I must borrow a phrase from Glennon Doyle Melton, because I don't think it's ever been said more perfectly,. Life is brutiful.". Life is both brutal and beautiful. My 70-year-old father-in-law has Alzheimer's. It's a sad, frustrating, scary disease. It's unfair and awful and cruel. It pretty much encapsulates the "brutal" aspect of life. I said, "Hey, Dan, there are actual...

LIFE'S MOMENTS: Eye roll

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and discover they were the big things." -Robert Brault. Thursday, July 23, 2015. Anna has become such a reader! She reads every night before bed, often trying to rush me through her cuddle so she can get back to her book, most mornings, and every car ride. One of the effects I've noticed of early reading is a much bigger, but sometimes not fully understood, vocabulary. We've realized she is rolling her eyes at how ridiculous we are. Kate, 10 years old.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and discover they were the big things." -Robert Brault. Monday, March 30, 2015. Rough days for Anna. Anna's had a rough time the last four days. due in large part to my poor mothering. Friday at recess, she fell from the play structure at school and hit her chest on a bar on the way down. She didn't tell anyone, but she was in so much obvious pain that her teacher noticed and sent her to the health office. I took this picture of one next to the kids.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and discover they were the big things." -Robert Brault. Friday, May 29, 2015. Dave backed his car out of the driveway to leave for work but paused by the kitchen window. Luke held a heart sign up to the window and Dave held one back. Then Luke blew him a kiss that Dave caught and returned. You know what, Mom? Luke said, "Kisses can go through windows 'cause 'em don't got bones.". I took it out. Before I disposed of it, she asked, "Can I see it? Oh, s...
