KATHARINE AMIES BOTANICAL PAINTING. Katharine's vision is to express the intricate nature of plants showing that even humble vegetables are masterpieces of design and beauty. Her work seeks to capture the intimate essence of plants in a manner that a photograph, in spite of its detail, fails to convey. This painting tradition developed as wealthy patrons having built exotic gardens with newly discovered plants wanted to have them painted in great books or "Flora Legia" - Botanical Art had arrived. A pump...
Single mom to super baby:)
Single mom to super baby:). Thursday, January 27, 2011. Strange night, I'm not exactly sure whats going on here. lol. Part of why I seem so strong now, and that if he were to pop back up I would probably loose my mind. So, this is something I need to work on, and that I plan on bringing up next week. By the time I pulled in the driveway, I was dizzy I think from it all. That, and having had a bunch of caffeine. And no dinner yet. Either way, I went to lay down almost immediately. Laid in bed de. Life
Wednesday, December 21, 2011. FDR and MLK Memorial. We are in DC. We made it. I flew with all four kids by My SELF! I tried to get a shot of them all standing "in line" but alas this is the best we could get. Little Claire loves to "walk" all by herself but don't be fooled by those big dough eyes. She is a little firecracker and when she gets freedom she takes any change to run. My little four year old buddy. How are you growing up so fast. STOP GROWING PLEASE! I just love everything about this photo!

A foggy January day on the lawn at Rocky Neck State Park. The Pavilion at Rocky Neck State Park, after Hurricane Sandy. Cold march day viewing the pavilion at Rocky Neck State Park. Spring (almost) at Rocky Neck. Spring has arrived, tables are in summer position and Hurricane Sandy remnants are nearly invisible. First time, start here. Uarr; Get this.
Katharine and M.E.
Thursday, 13 August 2015. Things have been quiet around here for quite a while. Thankfully, this isn't due to a deterioration in my health; I've just been working on other projects (such as writing an article for ME Awareness Week for my university's student newspaper. And writing a chapter for an anthology on the unique lived experience of childhood ME). This post has been languishing in my 'drafts' folder for over a year. I feel now is the perfect time to rediscover it. Thing in the world. In the words...
