Friday, May 7, 2010. Adios, mi Mexico lindo y querido. Last night for dinner I squeezed in another new food, a sweet tamal, with a strawberry base and some raisins thrown in. I had had the regular salty tamal, with chicken and salsa inside and it was delicious, but the sweet ones are also really good, though very different! Saturday, April 10, 2010. I am back in Cuernavaca! After the tour we both bought some chocolate, as we had been craving some the whole time. The pyramids at Comalcalco were constructed of brick, which was an interesting comparison to all of the other ruins I have seen so far in Mexico. After this we went to the town of. Then we went our separate ways at the bus terminal area, as I took the bus south to Cuernavaca, and Joline took a bus west to Queretaro :(. We had quite the full 2 weeks!

Thursday, April 8, 2010. After swimming we were a little hungry, but not hungry enough for a full dinner, we decided to have a vending machine snack. I had my first can of pop in a really long time (generally pop comes in a glass or plastic bottle more often than a can in Mexico), and I really think it tastes better out of a can. It was nice having not so busy day ad taking it easy today, since we have been on the go so much these past weeks. But we have seen so much and it has been great!

Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Bananas in my soup? This weekend I went with Susan and her family to their church here in Cuernavaca, actually really close to where I live. It's called "Semilla de Mostaza" or "Mustard Seed", and it was an awesome service! Today I made the realization that there aren't basements in Mexican houses! I was talking to my teacher about this, and she said she doesn't store a lot of old junk because she doesn't have a basement, but wonders what she would do if she did have one.
