Studio of Melody Tiemann. This morning I had a visitor to the studio. He appeared over by the mailbox and slowly kept walking up to the studio sidewalk. I've noticed him before, but this is the closets he's ever come to the studio and to me. I think we were separated by about 15 yards. Studio of Melody Tiemann. Tonight the eight-week evening workshops come to an end. We will have potluck and ohh and ahh over the finished work. This is my favorite part of the workshop, when the students see the rewards of their hard work. I am so proud of them. Just a reminder that applications for the Clay Artist-in-Residence position are due at the Craft Center April 1, 2010. You can find the particulars here. It is a great job in a beautiful place. Tales from the Motherhood. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Not a drama camp, but there was plenty of drama involved. Overall, I think the kids enjoyed.but, we did have some days that were better than others. I think one of their favorite parts was the face painting. We left this past Friday for Vidalia, LA, for the Lancaster Family Reunion! It was a lot of fun visiting with the fam. Tales from the Motherhood. Monday, July 30, 2012. The kids just returned from a three-week trip to Houston. We have been super busy since I picked them up in Baton Rouge. That same day we went straight from Louisiana to Vicksburg for Grady's first birthday celebration. Last Monday the kids began two-weeks of swim lessons. They are doing really well and love their instructor. She has been teaching kids to swim for 50-years! After their 1st day of swim lessons. Back to school hair cut! FLL Team Startup IV.

Tales from the Motherhood. Monday, April 22, 2013. The Mannsdale kindergarten kids got to take a fun field trip to the zoo last week. Gabriel and I met Victoria there and we had a fun day. Tales from the Motherhood. Friday, August 17, 2012. 1st Day of Preschool. Yesterday was Gabriel's first day of preschool. We went on Tuesday to meet his teacher and get familiar with the classroom. He played non-stop while we were there with only one (minor) toy truck sharing incident. So, I was feeling pretty confident even though he kept asking me, "Mom.are you. You're not gonna leave me? Tales from the Motherhood. Monday, May 28, 2012. It was off to the doctor this past week for Victoria's check up and dreaded pre-kindergarten entry immunizations. The nurse and I worked as a team to take care of a shot in each arm, one in the leg and after she had finally calmed down a bit - a finger prick for good measure. NOTHING a cone of ice cream and some marbles (don't ask) wouldn't fix! Thursday, May 17, 2012. You're a great singer! The whole place cracked up. Before she sees Mom in the audience.
