From Russia, with Love. I return for another year of teaching in St. Petersburg. 4th grade readers theater/elementary spring concert. Before the spring concert last Friday, my class did a readers theatre of Robin Hood for their parents. They did a fantastic job and it was only after they were done that I wished I had recorded their performance. Even my first year English speakers were fantastic and understandable. Fourth and fifth grade before the concert. Second grade performing Chim-chim-cher-ree.

On the Western calendar, it occurs today 20th March. But really, some years it's just a date on the calendar and we look for the signs of spring in other ways. So here are some signs of spring here in St Pete:. Fewer people wearing fur coats. A switch from fur hats to knit hats. Only the youngest children wear snow pants. The Neva River flowing with ice.
