Banned a patriotic hat made by eight year old David Morales. Morales, as part of a second grade arts project asking students to make a “creative hat,” decided to honor the military by gluing Army figures to a camouflage hat with an American flag. Sounds pretty innocent, right? Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Zero Tolerance&...

Saints abroad yet devils at home! Hypocrisy is derived from the Greek word hypokrisis. Which meant playing a part. On the stage, or putting on a mask. To misrepresent reality. In the ancient Greek theater, actors were known as hypocrites. So, what’s my beef with religious hypocrisy? The wound genuine religion receives from hyp...

Librarian in the Kliros. Sunday, October 17, 2010. Greek Yogurt Dessert, "with le-mon" (zest). Today I was fortunate enough to get to celebrate one of my dear friends, Jamie, at a surprise birthday party that her sister Cindy threw for her. The party was Greek themed, in terms of the menu, so everyone brought their favorite Greek dish. I was at a loss as to what I would bring, not having ever cooked any Greek dishes.
