Public Fish and Oyster. Public Fish and Oyster is an upscale restaurant and raw bar in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia. I was hired as a freelance designer to create their website. I chose to use WordPress as the CMS platform to make it easy for them to update. The website reflects the restaurant’s modern, sophisticated feel and highlights the fresh, New England inspired menu. For a web design class project, I redesigned a website for a local business, Devil’s Backbone Brewery. I used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to code the website. I made the pages responsive to fit the size of an iPad when scaled down. Interactive parts of the website include an accordion to display beer selections, tooltips for navigation, and a timeline to showcase awards.
