First ever blog post – what have I got myself into? July 28, 2015. I never thought I’d be the kind of person to blog about anything, let alone music education, but here I am! Today was the first day of lectures for uni subject of mine: Technology in Music Education. We were required to watch 2 conflicting Ted Talks addressing the place of technology in education – an incredibly interesting and controversial topic! Also…some of us need to earn money, you know). As I said this morning, I’m not completely happy with the final product and if I had more time to work on it I would have. I do love what I’ve written, so my plan is to re-record in the holidays to get a better finished product, so I’ll let you know when that happens! Some final thoughts on the project:. October 25, 2015. For our final Composition in Music Education assignment i’m required to compose a piece of music 2-3 mins long, using the comp task in my iBook. In mind when I was first thinking about what to compose, but I’d like it to be darker than that. So it wont be a case of cello and accompaniment, but more like equal voices contributing different musical ideas. Which produces a wah wah effect. So I’ll definitely give that a go in the recording process to see if it works! Enter your comment here.
