My collective thoughts...: September 2010

http://www.kathleenahanson.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 23, 2010. My hands are right beside me. I'm standing very TALL. My eyes are looking straight ahead. I'm quiet through the halls! On Tuesday my mentor teacher was filling in for our principal so she had a substitute. The substitute and I worked really well together and she let me take over pretty much the entire day. I really got the feel of how the day ran without Cheri to guide me. I feel like I am right on track in regards to what I should be doing and learning. Our class has been d...

Tuesday, August 31, 2010. The first day of school went SO. Smoothly. (Almost too smoothly according to Cheri! Although we have many ELL students and a few Sped students, our students are mostly high flyers. I was so happy to see how excited these students were to learn. Here is a list of some literacy experiences in the classroom:. S, lunch charts. I had the opportunity to read Miss Bindergarten Get's Ready for Kindergarten. Out of all our their drawings and put it in our class library. Yesturday, I had ...

http://www.kathleenahanson.blogspot.com/2010/12/mini-residency.html

Saturday, December 4, 2010. Crazy way to start your mini residency.having no school for 3 days and then a nice long holiday weekend. Due to school closure, my mentor and I decided to meet at Shaw and prepare for my mini-residency. We were at school for about 3 hours prepping the classroom, drawing up lesson plans, and deciding what assessments we wanted to do focus on and plan for our field trip. Overall my mini residency went very AWESOME! December 13, 2010 at 11:49 AM. Youare invited to follow my blog.

Early Childhood Educators 2010-2011: Transitions

http://ecinterns.blogspot.com/2010/09/transitions.html

Early Childhood Educators 2010-2011. Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Think about how your class transitions between activities. Is your class different with you than your mentor? Are certain times of the day more challenging for the students, for you? What types of strategies have you tried? I used to sing a song to let children know when it was meeting time. Once I began singing, they would automatically clean up their work and come to the meeting rug. What strategies work best for you? Reading Log EDEC 408.

Every day, in some way I am faced with me. I became interested in seeing what that looked like. Not the collection of ideas comprised of what I have been told I am, or should be, or what I shouldn’t be; but, really, who am I? In order to discover me, it was helpful to look, really look about me; then to transform that observation using whatever tool I could. Some of the work is pastel-on-paper and, therefore, fragile / yet powerful. Let's look at my portraits and paintings.

In Search of the Pomerac

In Search of the Pomerac. Thursday, July 23, 2015. This Week in London. These last few days have been busy with adventure. I have been trying to make the most of my time here and have ventured out every day to a new place to see what I can see. There is great pleasure in a latte and a train seat by the window. In this case there was even a table, and I happily watched the fields and brick buildings and graffitied back walls go by. I've never gone to a life drawing class before, aka nude model. Little...
