Time-Travel Romance and Young-Adult Fantasy. When Time Stood Still" is part of an e-anthology featuring my story and 18 other beautiful sweet romances. Buy One Touch, One Glance. Matthew Garlinn sat on a stone wall under a sign that read Alec MacCoinneach, Swordsmith. And shook his head. Once upon a time, he would have laughed to think he d one day find himself sitting in a place like this. Where he thought he d end up. And there was her. Maybe tonight, if he hung around the grocery store long enough, sh...

http://www.kathleenmaciver.com/jarentho.php
Time-Travel Romance and Young-Adult Fantasy. Perched on a cliff, high above the Tharean Sea, sits the age-old city of Jarentho. In times past, Jarentho was the capitol of a powerful empire and a thriving center of trade. The mountain tribes from the north brought diamonds, iron, silver, and beautiful Fyezha feathers to trade for the crops grown by the cities that dotted the southern plains. Gold and silvans changed hands, along with glorious stories of the Malach. But that was two thousand years ago.

Time-Travel Romance and Young-Adult Fantasy. MacCoinneach is Scottish Gaelic for son of Kenneth. One of the men strode forward ahead of the others, and Kyra found herself looking at a man who could only be Murray MacCoinneach. She could understand why everyone was willing to call him laird. He looked. It She d thought Jason could look intimidating, but this man was even more so. From To Know Who You Are. From To Know Who You Are. And you like sword-fighting, don t you? From After All This Time. He smiled...

Time-Travel Romance and Young-Adult Fantasy. For your enjoyment, I am offering not only the following story, but also the first two pages of "When Time Stood Still". When I Found You. In the Highlands of Scotland. Allison Tyler fingered the class ring around her neck as she gazed at Duncarragh. The castle rose up from a huge rock on the banks of Loch Rhoswen, a silent testimony to times long gone. If only walls could talk . She sighed and turned away. Will you be wanting your breakfast now? The innkeeper...

Time-Travel Romance and Young-Adult Fantasy. My name is Gianna, and I was once a member of the courier's guild. I say once because, although I still carry messages now and again, my life is now filled wih so much more than messages and danger and long rides through dark forests and occasionally-moonlit fields. Else- it's all they can do to earn the coppers required for their food. Rations each week. The nobles would add that guarding their gold and. Problems if you want to keep your position. Friday, October 24, 2008. A gift certificate giveaway. Does free money for books sound good? I hope so, because I've decided to hold a small contest when my story is released. The prize? A $25 gift card for Borders? So as I work on edits, I'll also be working on a website update to announce this and host it. (Yes, I'm a website designer. Too) It'll be announced here on this blog, so stay tuned! Posted by Kathleen MacIver at 7:14 AM. Links to this post:. Middot; My Characters. Middot; My Books.
Kathleen MacIver - notes from the author's desk: February 2008
http://kathleenmaciver.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 21, 2008. Well, I discovered what all authors discover, and realized some aspects of To Know Who You Are. That have major room for improvement. That is what I've been working on these past eight months. that and a 1200-mile move (which understandably took from my writing time). You will hopefully be pleased to note that my book will be stronger for the re-write, and future books will be stronger as well. I am also working on a re-telling of Sleeping Beauty. Version of it. *smiles*.

Wednesday, April 23, 2008. How often do you come across a real-life romance story? Specifically, one that has actually been written out, in all its passionate glory? I don't happen across them all that often. In fact, My Sergei. Ekaterina Gordeeva's story of how she and her husband fell in love amid the world of Russian world championship figure skating, was the first I'd ever read. Somehow I happened across The Pioneer Woman. S blog site yesterday, and of course, when I saw "Love Story," I had to read it.
Kathleen MacIver - notes from the author's desk: March 2008
http://kathleenmaciver.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 12, 2008. A while back, on a forum I visit, someone asked the question, "What does romance mean to you? Romance means different things to each of us at different times in our lives. I would have answered this question differently when I was a young teenager, and differently still when I was falling in love with my husband. I'm sure it changed yet again when we hit the rough years, just as it changed when we pulled through. So what does romance mean to me now, as a married woman? I am pri...
Kathleen MacIver - notes from the author's desk: September 2008
http://kathleenmaciver.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 20, 2008. Here's the first few paragraphs to a new short story I'm working on. I'm curious to know whether it is enough to interest anyone in the story. Mathew Garlinn sat on a stone wall under a sign that read Alec MacCoinneach, Swordsmith. And wondered that he found himself where he was. No, what he found ironic was that he was not in the good old USA, not in a city, and not using either his wits or his taekwando. And then there was her. His boss would show up so they could start th...

http://kathleenmaciver.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 18, 2007. Jason's story is finished! I thought I'd finished it a month or two ago, but I recently did a major scene re-write, so now. I think I can safely say that it is finished. Of course, it will go through more edits once I find a publisher and their editor gets ahold of it. But in the meantime, here is my own blurb for it:. Four years have passed since Kyra first noticed Jason McCaskyll. Only now. Posted by Kathleen MacIver at 2:44 PM. Links to this post. Middot; My Characters. Excep...

Monday, July 21, 2008. First, a note regarding my last post. I'm not sure I'll be able to share the story of my romance, as my husband is very private and it's obviously his story, too. We'll see. On to today's post. Do any of you ever read a book and think of a song that could be the theme song for that book? Adding the new dimension I've mentioned. I've been working madly on it lately and making a lot of progress. Then, just last night, my daughter watched Ever After. I’d better go, she said. He didn’t...
