Cold , rainy, windy, and clouded by a looming exam. It's quite an event though with festivities starting Friday morning and going on all through the weekend. http://kristinainmalawi.blogspot.com/2009/08/aint-no-mountain-high.html
Ain't No Mountain High. I had the amazing opportunity to do a 3-day climb of Mt. Mulanje. Central Africa's highest point. It was my first mountain climb(because Kathleen. Said the mountain by the UW colleges doesn't count). The first day, we led the pack and climbed to the plateau in 3.5h. NBD(no big deal), as Jonny says. It felt like being on the stairmaster for 3.5 straight hours. Day 2, we opted for Chambe Peak. Posted by Kristina Lugo. August 5, 2009 at 8:21 AM. If I had to climb without you.

Saturday, July 22, 2006. It's been my privilege this summer to have the chance to hang out w/ some of my close Christian friends every Thursday night. We spend time chatting, studying the Bible, and most importantly, praying for each other. After some quality time in prayer last night, we transitioned to another one of our intense relationship-building activities - foosball. Is no slouch either. And to make things always exciting, both of them are highly competitive individuals who hate to lose. Thought ...

Thursday, August 24, 2006. I went to do some laps in the pool the other day, and I must've been churning pretty hard, cuz when I came out of the water I was a little tipsy and groggy. So I stumble towards the changerooms, not looking forward to the 5 gruelling flights of stairs I need to climb to reach the showers. Am I really this disoriented? The lockers were in different places, the hairdryer was on a different wall, the mirror was somewhere else, and the walls were * gasp* PINK! Get me outta here!
