This is my contribution to 'Shape and Situate #2', a zine of inspirational European women out soon. I made it for photocopying not scanning - the pen marks won't show up on the finished thing. Fighting with a pen and ink, and sometimes winning. Lo-fi illustration and bedroom printmaking. Monday, 6 July 2009. And here's the last in a series of How-Tos I did for Last Hours. Anyway, here's the article, click on it to read the text. I put this together when I was living on a narrowboat which was easily one of the most challenging places to draw/make stuff because of the lack of space and storage for clippings and materials. I'm about to move back there, yay! Links to this post. Links to this post.

drawings and that: August 2011
http://petewillisillustration.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, 20 August 2011. So glad to finally be able to put these up. Early this year I was asked by The Idler to illustrate a couple of essays for the latest issue - one on Paul Lafargue and one on Marx. The issue has been out a few weeks and dropped through my door today. Above is Lafargue, here's the cover (lush hardback format - and i'm not normally one for hardbacks) and Marx. Just for lulz here's the list of illustrators. Harper and Hogarth - pretty good company. Posted by pete willis.

http://petewillisillustration.blogspot.com/2011/11/overdue-updates-trails.html
Tuesday, 29 November 2011. Neglected for too long there's plenty to put up here and I will slowly work my way through. For now the main new stuff is on my re-done website dead trees and dye. Lets go though, in chronological order (roughly):. The talented poet Timothy Thornton asked me to do a drawing for the cover of his poem TRAILS, published on the DSG blog cos he used one of my other drawings for the cover of a previous edition (both available here. Tuesday, 5 July 2011. Few more updates coming in the next few days, but had some drawings in some zines that came out recently so here they are. Melanie's great Shape and Situate is back for the 2nd issue and she asked me to contribute a poster about an inspirational woman, so I did Louise Michel as I'd recently seen Paul Mason talking about the Paris Commune at the Really Free School and also just moved to East Dulwich where she spent a time while in exile. Here's the spread. Posted by pete willis.

drawings and that: Exodus Print
http://petewillisillustration.blogspot.com/2011/05/exodus-print.html
Sunday, 8 May 2011. Mine is Exodus, about the ship of the same name taking refugees to British Palestine in the hopes of setting up the state of Israel. Have been wanting to make a little book about it of some sort but this was a nice stop-gap before that happens, if ever. Sorry the picture is so small, I don't actually have a copy so had to steal it off the internet but you can buy your own from the Hato Press website here. Posted by pete willis. To get out of your system. I take a lot of naps. You never want. To get it. Enough said. You would think that after spending an entire month in bed,.

Friday, February 16, 2018. Spring weather can be unpredictable. Summer too, depending on where you live. Our client thought it might be a little on the cool side. To ward off the chill, we crafted this sumptuous silk knit poncho in magenta. Lightweight and drapey. Pair it with a dress, or skirt, or jeans. This poncho has super power! The estimated cost for a poncho like this is about $80; but a less expensive fabric could reduce the cost significantly. Can we make a poncho for you? Kathleen temple, tailor.
