The purpose of the course is to give students the necessary social, emotional, and problem solving skills necessary to be successful in high school. Throughout the course, students learn different skills to connect. Kathleen takes this class on a 2 day Peace Building Retreat to reinforce the classroom learning in the outdoors. Targets: HERO's in Bullying. Bystanders: Student Anti-Bullying Experts. Grade 9 Family Livings Curriculum. Sensitivity Training is a 1.5 hour program run once per month. Students who are aggressive and show little remorse for their actions are referred to the training. Students learn new behaviours through reflective activities, discussions, empathy building exercises, and case studies. This gave rise to Kathryn's idea to create training for these students to educate them on a different way of being.
