The largest in the NT and 1klm wide in places) runs through here and we did the afternoon sunset cruise. Saw our first salt water croc (a mere 5mtrs long) here, and several others quite a lot smaller. The big ones are so scary looking - just the sheer size of them is so intimidating. Once again on the banks of the Victoria River.

Friday, June 22, 2012. OUR TRIP TO THE BUNGLE BUNGLES. There was one thing we promised ourselves before we left Brisbane in August 2010, and that was to do a flight over the Bungle Bungle ranges. What an unbelievable day! The first sight of the Bungles was breathtaking. The dark grey and orange stripes are really evident from the air. The beehive structures are much more extensive than we imagined. But the greatest thrill was being at ground level and looking up at the size of some of the rock face.

Saturday, April 2, 2011. SCHOOL, SURF and SAND. We arrived in the Perth area and stayed with some beautiful people we met travelling in Qld earlier. They have 10 acres at Forrestdale, south of Perth and have 4 horses (and 4more on agistment) and lots of chooks. Paint a piece of grunge paper with metallic gold acrylic paint. Stamp winged watch face twice on painted grunge paper with tuxedo black Memento ink. Cut out images. Paint back of one image with gold paint. Stamp winged watch face with tuxedo black on off white paper. Cut out the watch face only. In thread and secure knot with a drop of glue.
