Jubilee Dollshouse : Onwards and upwards!
http://jubileedollshouse.blogspot.com/2014/03/onwards-and-upwards.html
Diary of a Victorian Dollshouse. Share in my journey as I create a. Late Victorian miniature world. Friday, March 28, 2014. To the attic landing! Now this has long been waiting to be furnished - but with what? Just what do you use a landing for? Well in a dollshouse it's another room really.Another area to fill! I must admit though, to feeling quite confused as to what to put into this space and what it's real use would have been in a real house in the late Victorian/early Edwardian period.

MOUNTFIELD DOLLSHOUSE : Bathroom shelf and accessories
http://ahomeinminiature.blogspot.com/2014/05/bathroom-shelf-and-accessories.html
1:12th scale miniature home set in the 1950s. Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Bathroom shelf and accessories. Here is the 'glass' bathroom shelf, accessorised and now in situ. I looked all over for suitably small wrought iron shelf brackets and ended up using these 1/24th ones - in fact I'm not entirely sure they are shelf brackets or if they're ones really intended for hanging baskets but they seem to have done the job! And even an interdental tool became.a toothpaste tube! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

MOUNTFIELD DOLLSHOUSE : October 2012
http://ahomeinminiature.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
1:12th scale miniature home set in the 1950s. Sunday, October 28, 2012. A new but old kitchen table! I've had this kitchen table in situ for quite some time and I knew that I would need to 'do' something with it to make it look right. It began life as a basic, white table. it now has a 'Formica' top and suffered from abit of ageing! The gentleman of the house has just had his dinner and lady wife is about to begin baking. Jubilee Dollshouse : Bedroom Doors
http://jubileedollshouse.blogspot.com/2014/03/bedroom-doors.html
Diary of a Victorian Dollshouse. Share in my journey as I create a. Late Victorian miniature world. Monday, March 31, 2014. Having shown you the bed linen it reminded me that I haven't really talked about the lady's bedroom. This room is on the right hand side of the house, above the parlour and adjacent to the bathroom with a door leading into that. The additional door is the one at the back of the room. I've left it ajar and fixed a light behind it so that it looks like it's leading somewhere.

MOUNTFIELD DOLLSHOUSE : February 2010
http://ahomeinminiature.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
1:12th scale miniature home set in the 1950s. Friday, February 26, 2010. WE HAVE A KITCHEN! The kitchen decoration is finished. I'm pleased with how the floor has turned out. It was so easy to lay with Richard Stacey sticky back 'Marley' tiles - just like the real thing! The area on the left is where the pantry will be., this photo is before the hallway wall was added. The understairs area makes a nice pantry complete with paper lined shelves! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). WE HAVE A KITCHEN!

MOUNTFIELD DOLLSHOUSE : April 2014
http://ahomeinminiature.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
1:12th scale miniature home set in the 1950s. Tuesday, April 01, 2014. April and I'm only just getting round to updating this blog! Time has flown since I last posted but just so you don't think I've deserted my Mountfield altogether here are a few photos I've taken recently. Not a great deal to show but I've added one or two bits. This is a bare wood sideboard, stained and waxed. I've recovered the lampshade on the standard lamp which looks abit more realistic now I think. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

MOUNTFIELD DOLLSHOUSE : November 2013
http://ahomeinminiature.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
1:12th scale miniature home set in the 1950s. Friday, November 08, 2013. Bathroom Suite now installed! The bathroom suite arrived this week and after thinking I would never find one suitable for the era, I must say that I'm really pleased with it! I will 'tweak' it here and there eg paint the loo seat black (which will be more in keeping with the 1950s) and maybe think about changing the taps eventually but overall I'm happy with how it looks. It fits in perfectly size wise . Lovely shaping to the bath.

MOUNTFIELD DOLLSHOUSE : A new cooker for the kitchen
http://ahomeinminiature.blogspot.com/2014/11/a-new-cooker-for-kitchen.html
1:12th scale miniature home set in the 1950s. Sunday, November 02, 2014. A new cooker for the kitchen. I've been looking for a suitable cooker for this kitchen for awhile. I seem to remember ours in the fifties was more modern than the very old fashioned gas cookers that are available in miniature. With this in mind I opted for one from Elf Miniatures rather than the Phoenix white metal one. This one is the nearest I could get in similarity to the one we had at home. MOUNTFIELD DOLLSHOUSE : Making up some kits.
http://ahomeinminiature.blogspot.com/2014/11/makingup-some-kits.html
1:12th scale miniature home set in the 1950s. Sunday, November 02, 2014. Making up some kits. To ease myself back into mini-ing again after the summer I made up a few kits that I'd bought ages ago - some from Jane Harrop, some Phoenix white metal ones and one from Elf Miniatures. The white metals ones are always abit of a headache for me as the pieces are so very tiny - however I've managed them and I'm pleased with them. I thought a cardboard box would come in handy for under the sink. Ever since I saw ...

Laid individually over a few. Days they were a joy to do whilst listening to. Some of my favourite music. What a great way to spend some dreary. I've also added the staircarpet and now. Need some wooden stair rods! Almost finished in here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Have a look at my other dollshouses and dolls!
