kathy dalwood studio blog: My studio: making concrete Roman Girl
http://kathydalwood.blogspot.com/2009/12/my-sculpture-making-concrete-roman-girl.html
What I'm doing, what I'm seeing, what I'm thinking. My studio: making concrete Roman Girl. Mini addition to my concrete figurine collection! I found the original Roman Girl several years ago and made a cast from her while I was developing ideas for a public sculpture commission - it was before I had conceived the idea of my Concrete Figurine collection but actually in a way she was the first one although I didn't realize it at the time. They are also very small (12-18cms /. The silicone rubber moulds.

What I'm doing, what I'm seeing, what I'm thinking. Pardon me boy, is that the? You know the rest! Introducing my latest plaster bust, Ms Chattanooga - complete with 'real' American steam train perched on her head. Ms Chattanooga was commissioned by cool on-line design store. And is available exclusively through them. It was brilliant that Laura of Roost Living had confidence that I'd create a new. Character that she would like. Luckily she did - and I hope her clients do too. When I began the sculpture ...

http://kathydalwood.blogspot.com/2010/03/my-studio-making-plaster-busts.html
What I'm doing, what I'm seeing, what I'm thinking. My studio: making plaster busts. Having just launched the first sculptures in my Plaster Bust collection, here is a behind-the-scenes look at the making process. The most important aspect of the concept is that the sculptures are cast from real-life objects and materials. When I first started playing with the idea I experimented with dolls - taking moulds from their heads and shoulders and then attaching cloth and hair etc to make mini plaster busts.

kathy dalwood studio blog: Winter garden with sculpture
http://kathydalwood.blogspot.com/2010/12/winter-garden-with-sculpture.html
What I'm doing, what I'm seeing, what I'm thinking. Winter garden with sculpture. Hello, my name is Adelina and I am a final year interior architecture student. I am originally from Romania, where there seems to be quite a fruitful post-communism art movement going on lately. As you all might know, architecture is the last branch of art that assimilates innovation, which is why I decided to study in England. The teaching system is more diverse here and gives lots of space for creative design. I therefore...

I love your wall panel piece in the Seventy Feet show at Free Range, its a subtle work but wonderful experience, almost transcendental. http://astrid7.blogspot.com/2010/04/dopeness-or-ode-to-boys-of-93.html
Sunday, April 4, 2010. The dopeness or ode to the boys of '93. This song makes me think of you. all of you, wound up into a single sometimes confusing once upon a time. no order. for some of you, there are only wisps, through a haze of sunshine, sea spray and sweaty clubs. dancing to burning spear, a tribe called quest and the doors. mostly friends some more some less, but all something. To grady how old were you? So boys of'93, you are the dopeness.and i dedicate this song to you. Sac Louis Vuitton Homme.

http://astrid7.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 15, 2010. Let the record show that i am a cheap date.for only two dollars a game you can play a lively game of mini golf in bucolic south pasadena. and by lively i mean that it took me 10 shots jus to make this one hole.i suck! There were lots of little kids(there was even a baby toddling over one of the greens) and parents with beers. so the astro turf is a little ragged and most of the "hole" events could use a little sprucing, but we had a blast!
