Mongolian Trek: November 2011

http://kathyinmongolia.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, November 9, 2011. October trip to Paradise with MIS. The Bridge we had to walk to get to Paradise - it was every man at his own risk! Everyone brought meat and food to share. This is the Mustangs Homeroom. The meat was Korean BBQ and it was DELICIOUS! These kids can cook! Michelle Lee, our Director on the left. Sunny, our Chinese teacher on the right and Bilgae (student). It was beautiful in its own way. Trying to get a decent photo! Everybody was wowed by the ducks! The only wildlife we saw!

Mongolian Trek: January 2012

http://kathyinmongolia.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 30, 2012. Its really hard to write a blog when one is out everyday doing things! Its been such fun being here in the States and enjoying family and friends and fantastic weather! Who can beat this? Its perfect here in Southern California - beautiful, warm, sunshiny, just fantastic. So I have been spending my days visiting friends, going to the beach, soaking in the weather and the beauty and storing it up for when I go back to Mongolia. I hear the weather there is -40F! We did not do well...

http://kathyinmongolia.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 29, 2013. Our daughter Kim and her now husband, Lenny, were married on June 22nd. It was a beautiful day in Southern California and I'd like to tell you all about it! She bought all the table linens, table decorations, lights, decorations around the reception area, etc. etc. On the day before the wedding we set up the area for the reception and the wedding. Kim bought the mason jars and filled them with lavender and a candle. We hung them up around the backyard for the reception. Kim picked ...

Friday, October 21, 2011. For they shall not be ahamed who wait for Me.". Isaiah 49:23b - "For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.". How lovely a verse and how true! This thought brings me to the other scripture." But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31. He will come and lift us up, open our eyes, restore our faith and build us up! Yesterday, as I was teach...

Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Wow So this is what my blog looks like. It's been so long, it took me a minute to recognize it. I have been just a tiny bit BUSY! Let's see if I can catch up a bit on all the latest news, in no specific order. Sit down and grab a tasty beverage. This will be long. And arduous. It won't surprise me if you fall asleep mid post. Just make sure to set your drink down first. Here is my official 2011 List of Insane Busyness. 1 It's warming up, and Spring is in the air! 6 We eat. ...

Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Well, though I am relatively busy with life right now, I don't have too much to post. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures at all over the holidays as I was busy chasing Audrey around, moving in a blur of motion at all times. However, I'm waiting for the pics from my Dad and my sister's boyfriend who took many beautiful pics! When I get them, I'll post a sequel to my Winter Pics post! Here are a few random and mostly terrible pics that I took from the past few weeks!

http://christyrice.blogspot.com/2012/02/we-dont-automatically-go-to-god-with.html

Wednesday, February 15, 2012. We don't automatically go to God with everything or react to life the way Jesus would simply because we are Christians, saved and transformed by the blood of Jesus. Right? I mean, that's the goal. But the initial act of being saved doesn't suddenly cause us to become as close to humanly and spiritually perfect as we can possibly be on this earth. We have to TRAIN ourselves, consciously and with perseverance. Whaaaaat, you mean God doesn't do all the work? Subscribe to: Post ...

Saturday, May 19, 2012. Where Have I Been? So, I've been busy once again. I say it every time I blog. You probably expect to hear it now. You may have stopped reading or even checking this blog - I am just that predictably slackerish. Well, this time I have something to show you that proves my hitherto alleged busyness. Click on the banner and check it out! I did it. finally. I started my own photography business. CHECK THAT OFF THE LIST! Okay really this time. Goodnight! Outgoing, fiesty, and a go-gette...

http://christyrice.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Monday, October 31, 2011. Isn't it amazing how something you see, hear, or experience as a child can be imprinted on your heart and mind? A lasting mark, a memory, a feeling. A sensory experience. There are a myriad of ways this can manifest in a negative fashion, but I'm so not interested in those today. I'm talking about positive, wholesome things, God given lessons we carry through life after embracing them with sweet, childlike innocence. And find myself thinking, "Where did THAT memory come from?

I'd love to do a lot of that jabbering on my bloggy blog. But, alas. Life is so busy right now that all I can really say is: Hi. And bye. Consider this a drive-by wave. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. 60 Degrees in January? I totally wore my rainbows today. It would have been WRONG not to. I did have my phone with me, so I snapped a couple of me in the SUNSHINE. I just love the word. I could say it all day long. SUNSHINE SUNSHINE SUNSHINE. Ahhh. It was windy too. And wind blown hair. Thank God for this day. I doubt we will see many more days like this before spring actually rolls around. But here's to hoping! Friday, January 27, 2012. It's COLD, Mommy! She LOVES it though.
