Since meeting Gloria & Jim Hintz in 2004, I've felt the need to travel to Peru to meet the young women responsible for the beautiful Creationes Angel cards. My dream is coming true. Not only will I get to meet these amazing women, with my friend Jennifer we will share the love of Jesus Christ with our Peruvian brothers and sisters. Kathy's Grande Adventure - Peru 2011. Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Our flight left Charlotte at 2:00 Monday and we arrived in Arequipa at 7:30 (8:30 your time) this morning. We had good flights, although we did leave Atlanta over an hour late. We will unpack our suitcases this afternoon and show Gloria all the craft projects we brought to do. I'm really looking forward to meeting the girls in the card shop, get to know them and see how they make the Creationes cards. August 2, 2011 at 12:01 PM.

Kathy's Grande Adventure - Peru 2011. Friday, August 12, 2011. Fridays are more like Mondays. Today was our second Friday here in Alto Cayma. Every Friday the elderly meet at the church for a meeting and then head to the office to pick up groceries. Our day started at 9:00 when we headed to the office to start bagging 200 lbs of sugar, 100 lbs of soy, 50 lbs of oats and 13 lbs of lentils. There was enough flour and soy left from last week. Kathy's Grande Adventure - Peru 2011. Friday, August 12, 2011. Again, I like to blame the difficulty breathing on the altitude. After a goods nights sleep, we arose at 5:30 to make our way to the canyon to see the Andean Condors in flight. Another amazing site! At one time, there were 5 in flight right on front of us. The girls in the card shop taught us how to make the butterfly card. Let's just say, everyone was happy when we finally got them finished.
