Saturday, October 1, 2016. Today I sat on the porch and practiced relaxing my face and smiling. Sounds strange. But for years I've been caught up in the stress of everyday life. After a while clenching my jaw and frowning just becomes a way of life. Sitting on the porch every morning listening to the world waking up around me is helping me to relax, stop worrying about tomorrow and just enjoy what is here. Have a great day! Wednesday, January 28, 2015. January 26, 2014. I went to the Rv show yesterday. Spent a lot of time looking at travel trailers. I was very impressed with the Lance. Of course the price was outrageous. I wouldn't be able to buy a new Lance and a truck so I'll be looking for something used. The thing I really liked about the Lance was the true 4 season pkgs. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Well, the Adkins diet didn't last long, about 3 days was my limit. On Sunday the 19th I had my children and grandchildren over for dinner and that blew the diet. On the bright side I have lost 3# since my last post. So, at least I'm headed in the right direction. Does this effect my plans? Not really sure. On Friday and Saturday I took a brief camping trip with the two cats, Jennifer and Jesse to do some fishing and sightseeing. We had a blast. Located near Highlandville (just a few miles from Minnesota), this tree seemed anxious to start its fall transformation. Ready for the smoker! The fishing was great even with having to watch over my shoulder for bovine visitors!

Van Camping in Iowa. Worked on the bed today. May 4, 2011. Somebody else wanted to get comfortable today. This is Kitty Doris also known as “DorDor” or “Door Knob”… She is my little adolescent. Talk about looking comfortable. This gave me the inspiration to work on the bed today. The bed was a pain. The grandiose idea of having a unit that converts to a couch just didn’t pan out. So I started looking at recipes, and blended the cooking method of one, with the ingredients of another, then skipped a bunch of ingredients, substituted a lot of others, and viola, something new, and delicious.
