Visually, I am working with abstraction and distortion of my source material in my paintings and drawings in order to create a controlled image, though one that is not free of spontaneous compositional decisions. With photography, I am looking for those intriguing details that speak of not just the landscape, but of the intimacy, comfort, and vulnerability of being alone in the woods. Of July has been full of pool parties, barbeques, the firework show at Fort Vancouver, fireworks in our cul-de-sac, face painting, family, friends, and of course celebrating our beautiful country. Even last year for my first ever 4. Of July away from the Couve my entire family went to Utah and I got to join them in the fun! Sometimes we take mirror shots of our twinner pants. Festive outfits have always been a must.

Friday, July 3, 2009. Reduction. So now we are getting two Boxer puppies instead of one! But it will also be two times the work of one boxer puppy. Plus my aunt got a white Boxer from the same litter and the dog's name is Molly. Our puppies' names are going to be Abbie and Ziva. The breeder is going to bring the puppies and possibly the mother with her on Saturday July 11 th. I probably won't be able to get any pictures of them on the blog until somewhere. I can't wait until they are in their new home!
