The Mingles: May 2011

Ben and I just got back from 5 days in Charleston/Kiawah Island and had such an amazing time. It obviously inspired me to blog again.which I'll admit has been hard to find the time/motivation to do lately. And the fact that I should be unpacking right now makes blogging a much more attractive option. The condo on Seabrook Island. I thought this kitchen was so fun- love the combination of green and the stainless steel. Beautiful views from the back deck. The sunset every night was breathtaking. A view of ...

Shades of gray and more! We have officially decided to put our house on the market.yay! It is a little stressful but at the same time we are very excited about what the future holds. We were very blessed to have friends who were builders and were willing to build us our first home! And the finalist are pictured below. The rooms we are considering painting are the mudroom, guest bathroom, and guest bedroom since they are this teal/aqua color below. Obviously, it didn't look like that on th...We are tryin...

The Mingles: August 2012
http://minglingwithbenandjill.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
It is hard to believe August is here and summer is officially over. Lately, we have just been enjoying Ben's work schedule which is allowing him to be home at night. Which means we have been having dinner most nights together! I know this won't be the case come October when he will be back to 70 work hour/week. That do all of the hard work for you (meal planning, grocery list). Here is one of the meals we tried this week- Chicken Fajitas. We love Mexican and this was so easy! Here is a sneak peak:. Subsc...

A New Year means a New City for us.we are moving to Atlanta next week! I feel like I was just starting to get settled in Chattanooga and starting to find some sweet, Christian friends. But we definitely feel God's hand protecting and providing for us and have a peace about everything. We have both found good jobs for which I am so thankful! I will be working in pediatrics again.this is a huge answer to prayer! The outside of the building.love the bay windows that overlook the Park! I really can't think o...

The Mingles: July 2010

Weekend at the Country Club. Ben played in a golf tournament this past weekend with one of his good friends from college and groomsmen, Charlie. They had events all weekend (including ones for the wives/significant others). It was a win-win situation if you ask me! All of the festivities occurred at the beautiful Birmingham Country Club.not a bad place to have to spend your weekend. The boys were in Flight 2.so proud of them! Friday night there was dinner and dancing. So, the boys spent their time doing.

The Mingles: June 2012

Summer Vacation- part 1. I realized that there is a blogger app. I guess I shouldn't be that surprised. So, I decided there were no more excuses. If this app is as easy as it claims to be, then I can commit to a few minutes a week to start blogging again. Most pictures I take are with my phone anyways! Truth is life in Atlanta is really good, but life is crazy. Both of our jobs are more time consuming and our "free" time is much more precious! Overall, the first half of the trip was great! Check out the ...

The Mingles: December 2010

This makes my heart smile. I love coming home and checking the mailbox and seeing all of the cute Christmas cards. I especially love to display them and I find myself just staring at them throughout the day. We are obviously at a time in our lives when many of our friends are starting families.I mean look at all those cute cheeks! Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, for You have done WONDERFUL things! May your greatest Christmas blessing be God's love for you and yours! Ben a...

One of the first things I did after we got married was get a subscription to Cooking Light. It is no secret, I did not cook much before I got married.so I knew I was going to need some help! Sometimes the recipes are pretty good and other times Ben would be fine if I never served it again. However, I keep going back to Cooking Light recipes because it makes me feel better about what I am serving my family :). And the final product. And the fact that it was ready in 15 min made it even better! I followed ...

The Mingles: February 2011
http://minglingwithbenandjill.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
So much blogging to catch up on, so many e-mails that need to be written, so many phone calls that need to be made, and so little time. Hence the theme here.I am way behind! But we are adjusting to our new lives in Atlanta. More on that later I promise! Really the intention of this post was to share this new book/website. What does the Christ-life really look like when your days are gritty, long—and sometimes even dark? How is God even here? Posted by Ben and Jill. Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Marble Copp...
