Olivia, Opinions and Occasions: February 2010
http://mgdtochina.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 20, 2010. On Monday, we went to Emperor's Palace for our Chinese New Year celebration. We had a wonderful meal and lots of fun. This culminated a week of preparations, including a whole lot of house cleaning, hair cuts for everyone, decorating the clean house, setting out a big bowl of oranges and giving Olivia and her cousin's red envelops for the big day. Saturday, October 31, 2009. Treats and More Treats. What a wonderful Halloween! Posted by Gina (Caleeo). Monday, October 12, 2009. Flower Girl and Fun. On Saturday, Olivia was a flower girl in her cousin Teresa's wedding. She did great and had a lot of fun. She dropped her flower petals like a pro and danced with anyone willing to dance with her at the reception. Tonight she decided to hang in her toy box with all of her stuffed animals:. Sunday, December 27, 2009. Posted by Gina (Caleeo). Wednesday, December 23, 2009. A new, old friend. We received our referrals about a month apart in the spring of 2007 and traveled a little later - and in all that time have never had the opportunity to meet until today! Kathy and her daughter had a layover in St. Louis and Olivia and I picked them up and we went to the Mills for some playtime. The girls and moms had a great time hanging out and visiting. It was a ton of fun for everyone! The Quest for C...

Olivia, Opinions and Occasions: July 2009

Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Meeting Olivia - the video. Two years ago, at the moment this post is set to publish, in a conference room at the Lakeside Hotel in Fuzhou, Fujian, PRC, Olivia was carried into the room by her nanny, whisked to the corner of the room for a photo, we were told to sit in the "photo spot" and she was handed to us. I put this montage together about a year ago, and it is now making it's public debut. That amazing, surreal moment, also captured on video, concludes this piece:. Nutriti...

Tuesday, August 18, 2009. On Saturday, Michael, Olivia and I drove to Bloomington, IL for a travel group get together. Unfortunately, Candi and Zoie were not able to make it because of illness. We certainly missed them. I can hardly imagine the chaos with another jumping two year old mixed in! Posted by Gina (Caleeo). Thursday, August 13, 2009. Some Photos from Today. Posted by Gina (Caleeo). Where Has Time Gone. Over a week since my last post – man, what’s up with that! Did I mention that, also while we...

Saturday, June 26, 2010. This year's swimming lessons with Aunt Nunu were an amazing success. It was nearly shocking to watch her little 3 year old self jumping in and swimming through the water. Along the way, we picked up my sister Julie and her girls, Tricia and Ashley. Our first stop was the line for the Golden Eagle Ferry:. Ashely and Olivia had lots of fun playing in the river. Olivia, Opinions and Occasions: Christmas Tree 2009
http://mgdtochina.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-tree-2009.html
Saturday, December 5, 2009. We headed to Pumpkin and Pines. For our Christmas tree again this year. Olivia was initially not so much into the hike we had to make to get to the field of trees we were looking for, the Norway Spruces, but eventually she decided to come along. Finally, the perfect tree was located. Since she didn't feel like walking back out, I carried her on my shoulders. And then, it was time to ride the train! How cool am I now! Posted by Gina (Caleeo).
