The Tracy family adventures. First time at the farm…it’s the little things in life. So the Tracy’s descended upon a local corn maze/farm place in NE Columbia today for some fall pumpkin picking/festival activities. We had such a great time! Kate promptly threw a tantrum when told that she could not feed the caged donkeys in the nearby petting zoo, so she began throwing the straw into the donkey pen, much to the dismay of the high-school aged attendant who expected 25 cents from each person who fed the an...

The Tracy family adventures. Fair Food, Church, and Moe. For those of you who are wondering, the first week in Columbia has gone pretty well so far! Today, Rob experienced chapel for the first time. How exciting is it that my child is experiencing chapel on a weekly basis? I have often wondered God’s intentions as he plans this path for us, and I know He has never yet let us out of his sight. The comment was made that God is surrounding the kids…and He is! I’ll update this blog as frequently as I c...

The Tracy family adventures. Boo at the zoo…and some seriously fun times. As we closed out our second week in Columbia, we made a quick trip to Augusta to visit some family and visit Kate and Rob’s old stomping grounds at the Greenbrier. It was so heartwarming to see their faces light up as they took off down the halls to their old classes and friends! At the zoo. We also ran into Allison and Caroline! Kate was less than thrilled to have her picture taken, as you can probably tell in the picture. Spe...

Capturing the milestones of our first years as parents to our sweet boys, Baker and Preston! Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Happy St. Pats! Leprechauns, clovers, gold, and GREEN. Are words that Baker used to describe St. Patrick's Day. The kids were floored and giggling all afternoon about it. So I did a little similar trick with pancakes! Baker was sooo excited but Preston on the other hand wasn't sure what to think of it. He didn't believe me at first that they were pancakes. He's my skeptic. Growing Up - ...

Capturing the milestones of our first years as parents to our sweet boys, Baker and Preston! Tuesday, March 4, 2014. We picked up some cleats, socks, and shin guards and he was set for his first practice on February 27th. He loved it so much he kept asking if it was soccer day or when is my next soccer day? This week the weather has canceled practice but we'll be back on track for a soccer update next Monday 3/10! But wouldn't you know he didn't protest when I put Baker's hat on him. :). Capturing the milestones of our first years as parents to our sweet boys, Baker and Preston! Friday, May 16, 2014. Life has certainly gotten in the way and made me neglect the world of blogging. I always looked at this blog as a fun way to capture moments, milestones, and fun things we did along the way. I am finding the time I have to document these are far and few in between. These boys keep me b.u.s.y! Baker has really taken hold of dribbling the ball down the field. On Wednesday, he scored. Preston i...

Capturing the milestones of our first years as parents to our sweet boys, Baker and Preston! Thursday, January 31, 2013. Baker's Double Ear Infection. Poor guy has ear drops and an antibiotic [Augmentin] to help him get better. He kept saying he had a bumblebee in his ear. 30 minutes after he took the medicine and it kicked in he was back to his happy, usual self running around the house with toys in hand wanting to play. It's good to have him feeling back to himself again! Wednesday, January 30, 2013.
