Sunday, December 8, 2013. What Was in Our Hospital Bag. I remember vividly being 30-something weeks pregnant and anxious at the thought of packing our hospital bags. Don't get me wrong- I was beyond excited. I was worried about knowing what to pack and being without something once we were there (never mind that we live 11 minutes from the hospital! I did not attempt a natural birth. I like drugs. First things first-I wrote down every single thing we were packing so that I could check it off as it went in...

Katie.J.Gibson: August 2013

http://katiejgibson.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 31, 2013. 31 and 32 Weeks. These past few weeks may have been my favorite so far. They haven't been the easiest, but they have been the ones that I have enjoyed the most and I think it's because I really. NONE of my clothes fit! I feel like I wear the same thing over and over and over again, and by that I mean I wear my husband's clothes now. My 32 weeker is my "pregnancy uniform"- leggings and one of his old fraternity shirts. Love it). Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Is offering a free set...

Katie.J.Gibson: One Month Update

http://katiejgibson.blogspot.com/2013/12/one-month-update.html

Saturday, December 7, 2013. You are currently closer to being two months than one, so I had better get this up, eh? Length: 21.5 inches. Your hands by your face, just like when you were inside Mommy. Having your head rubbed. Holding your head up (you have freakishly amazing neck control). Sleeping (you have always been such a great sleeper! You get up every 3 hours to nurse and go right back to sleep, sometimes on your own). Your Daddy. Wow, do you love your Daddy! Socks and Blankets covering your feet.

Katie.J.Gibson: June 2013

http://katiejgibson.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 27, 2013. Yikes, it's been a while. We need to catch up! The last few weeks I have had no excuse-I have been nesting pretty hard! The nursery is coming along well, though. I debated on whether to post some update pictures, but I think I'm going to wait a while and do a reveal. So, it's a girl. Hurray! I was pretty shocked that it wasn't a boy. I really thought I wanted a boy. And, someday, I do. I would take a gaggle of them. Have you met my husband? It was a great vacation! She (I think) ...

Katie.J.Gibson: October 2013

http://katiejgibson.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Today we are 40 weeks along and have hit the due date-and I completely forgot to post our 39 week update yesterday! Our 40-week OB appointment was actually at 39 weeks and 6 days. Everyone was so surprised to see us! Our doctors were sure I'd not make it this far. They aren't sure how much lower the baby could get without falling out! I had to physically stop myself from saying, "Um, there is a BABY IN THERE? And hearing of the assurance we have in Christ and the inheritance ...

Domestic Diva Domain: Bronze It On

http://domesticdivadomain.blogspot.com/2013/04/bronze-it-on.html

Wednesday, April 10, 2013. I'm so excited to be blogging.from my bed! Why is this so exciting, you may ask. My poor laptop had a battery life of basically zilch unplugged, so I've been tethered to the wall for a good 2 years with this thing. A replacement battery was going to cost almost $100, and for that price, you are on your way to a brand new laptop! So I was avoiding it and making it work, until my husband found one on Amazon for less than half that price! I'm not going to pay for skin cancer.

Domestic Diva Domain: Do I Really Have A One-Year-Old?!

http://domesticdivadomain.blogspot.com/2015/07/do-i-really-have-one-year-old.html

Friday, July 10, 2015. Do I Really Have A One-Year-Old? I feel like someone has turned a page into a new chapter in my book of being a mother. Chris and I were talking after we got home from our Kansas trip and we both agree that Ava seems to know that she is a 1 year-old. She just acts bigger! She learned how to say "cracker". It just sounds like "kkkkkkkkkkkk" at the back of her throat! She's pretty impressed with herself when she says it! She just acts like a such a big girl! She only gets nursed firs...

Domestic Diva Domain: Another Miracle in the Making

http://domesticdivadomain.blogspot.com/2015/07/another-miracle-in-making.html

Friday, July 10, 2015. Another Miracle in the Making. This post was written a few weeks ago, and I am just now publishing it.*. I don't even know how to start this post so I'm just going to start putting my thoughts down. I find it so ironic. That my post from earlier today included a part about wondering how I'm going to store all of Ava's baby things. I found out just a few hours ago that I will only have to keep them in storage for 9 months! Yes, I found out today that I am pregnant.AGAIN! Fast-forwar...

Wednesday, June 17, 2015. The Only Parenting Technique You'll Ever Need: An Introduction to Love and Logic. I feel it is my duty as a preschool teacher and a mother to share about Love and Logic. This book is a game changer. As a preschool teacher, this was the training that gave me confident control of my classroom. The kids knew the rules, they knew the responses they would get from me, and they began to repeat my motto: "Friends who make good choices get to do fun things! All was good in preschool land.

Thursday, January 10, 2013. DIY Baby Board Book. Whenever shopping for a new baby or a young child, there are SO many cute things! Let's face it, anything for a baby is just adorable. Here is a great gift idea that is cute, affordable, and personal. A homemade baby board book! Here are the supplies you will need:. Mod Podge - I chose a glossy finish. A small bottle will be plenty. A small roller sponge - I found mine at Walmart for a buck and change. A small sponge or sponge brush. PLASTIC plate - not.

Monday, July 27, 2015. This post was written a several days ago; I am just now publishing it*. Finally we are 2 DAYS. Away from seeing little peanut! I could be as far along as just shy of 11 weeks and we still don't have a clue what little baby is up to in there! I have been experiencing lots of nausea - round the clock this time. With Ava, it was only in the evenings and I barely ate anything because I hated. With how much she is learning and what she can do. Her vocabulary is exploding! She did it at ...

Domestic Diva Domain: Welcome Home Baby Wreath

http://domesticdivadomain.blogspot.com/2012/11/welcome-home-baby-wreath.html

Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Welcome Home Baby Wreath. Out with Halloween, and in with Christmas. Where did Thanksgiving go? Don't ask me. Stores have been putting Christmas decorations out since July, for goodness sake . For whatever reason, I am not opposed to hearing Christmas already. It's already started at my new job - the first song I heard was the Glee Cast version of Last Christmas. I was actually excited to hear it! I am excited to show it off now, haha! Have the ends long enough to hang nicely&#...

NHS down with the kids? The NHS are subtly trying to slip sexual health awareness into television to make young adults more aware, but is this the right way? Will it not just be embarrassing for youngsters? In the latest adverts on TV we see speech bubbles that appear to be conversations held between teen groups or a parent and their child. Not only is this be embarrassing(not just for youngsters for EVERYONE) but also how cringe worthy? So is it really what we want to switch our TV’s on to? I have never...

Thursday, June 17, 2010. Living Hope's race and Bible seminar with Eli Morris. Is still reeling/Thinking/Processing/Ect. from the encouraging and challenging words at Tuesday's the Bible and race seminar. It was an amazing week in Nicaragua as we have taught family conferences, led in worship, done evangelism, connected with old friends, and made some new ones. On Saturday we took the band and all the gear and did a concert in a field! It was a sweet time! Monday, June 14, 2010. 14 Property or structural...
