We didn't realize he was here until late afternoon, and by then he had been waiting for quite some time. I have to admit I was a bit surprised and frightened because he came in unannounced. This is how I fly away. Sunday, May 31, 2009. The 2nd painting in the series "Free as a Bird" is entitled Swallow. Saturday, May 30, 2009. This picture is an overhead view of the veggie/fruit/spices section of the Souk. The second thing we got was a bunch of cilantro from this sweet guy. It only cost about 12 cents. We also bought some red and yellow bell peppers, a yellow melon which hasn't been identified yet, and some bib lettuce. Thursday, May 28, 2009. Then I peel/shell/chop whatever I'm making.

D and K Odds n Ends. Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Time to play with some of my new kitchen toys. I was counting on my new crème brulee dishes being multi-purpose, so I put them to the test this morning. Half a bag of fresh spinach, 2 eggs, a bit of milk, garlic, feta cheese, salt, and pepper were mixed together then divided into 2 buttered dishes. After cooking them in the microwave a few minutes, I sprinkled on some mozzarella cheese and cooked another 30 seconds. It was a fun time in the kitchen. K.

Mixed by hand, then 5 minutes with Kitchen Aid dough hook set at 4. Divided into 8 somewhat equal chunks. Hardest step - rolling into strips that were supposed to be 28-30 inches long!
