through the mist: A taste of Scandinavia
http://dulcimerhope.blogspot.com/2009/06/taste-of-scandinavia.html
Wednesday, June 10, 2009. A taste of Scandinavia. This is what I had for lunch. This is what I'm still savoring, two hours later: Spice-encrusted salmon with Aquavit sour cream and new potato and green bean salad with capers and herbs. Thanks to Andreas Viestad. For the recipe, and to my husband for enjoying it with me. It was a fresh taste of Scandinavia in our own backyard. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Monday, April 06, 2009. Good for the soul. No, really - go ahead and call me naïve. To make my own bread and my own cheese, and if I had. To grow all my own food and live at the mercy of droughts and floods, I would feel very differently about such things. I don't doubt it, and I probably am being naïve. It's awfully cheeky of me as an affluent Westerner to idealize subsistence farming - of course "getting back to the land" sounds wonderful when you have all the options in the world. through the mist: Asa
http://dulcimerhope.blogspot.com/2009/06/asa.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2009. I haven't declared a summer soundtrack for a few years. But now I've got one for 2009. Everybody needs a favorite album to listen to with the windows down, cruising around in the heat of the summer sun. And the memories of each summer are inextricably linked to a group of songs, so that when you hear them again, the summer's warmth and meaningful events come wafting back to you. This is my album for 2009: Asa. I will go to iTunes now and give her a listen! A taste of Scandinavia.

The Kovaliks: Unscripted: Our Big Girl
http://thekovaliksunscripted.blogspot.com/2009/08/our-big-girl.html
Saturday, August 1, 2009. Okay so quick update on Kaylee-what she's doing, saying and enjoys playing with. But first a big announcment! The pacifier is gone! Now, I'll be honest we might have to break it out in emergencies like when we are somewhere where crying is not an option but we don't anticipate using it for anything else. She doesn't even sleep with it or anything! Glad to be done with that yukky thing. It was starting to look weird on such a big kid. When you sneeze she says "Blesh you". Kaylee ...

The Kovaliks: Unscripted: My Favorite
http://thekovaliksunscripted.blogspot.com/2009/06/my-favorite.html
Friday, June 19, 2009. I must get off to work but I know I have not blogged in FOREVER! So here are a few pictures of my favorite to at least let you know what she is up to and looking like these days. Above Kaylee was sitting on her Uncle Kenny's 4-wheeler and wearing his helmet that was WAY too heavy- even for her big head. We were unpacking and suddenly we hear this bite out of an apple and look over and for some reason Josh had an apple in his suitcase and Kaylee started to eat it. She then proce...

Curious 'bout the Clarks?: November 2010
http://thejustinclarks.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Curious 'bout the Clarks? A happy family is but an earlier heaven." George Bernard Shaw. Friday, November 26, 2010. I'm extremely thankful for days when Justin gets to be with the three of us and not think about any of his work. Oh, but I'm grateful that he HAS that work. After the race, they all came over to our house for a late eggs and carmel apple oatmeal breakfast! I love family time. In the evening, the LaPlant family joined us for a feast! Leftovers were delicious today. :). Skyping with my family...

Curious 'bout the Clarks? A happy family is but an earlier heaven." George Bernard Shaw. Friday, December 17, 2010. A 3 year old? Justin is not usually home very much in the morning, but he was able to stay a little longer on Izzy's birthday to make us oatmeal and watch Izzy open a few small presents. Later, we were treated to lunch by our friends, the Surratts. In the evening, we had our neighbors over for cupcakes and presents. Justin made green (scrambled) eggs:. Watching the reindeer bake:.
