On May 20, 2013 we added to our family again by adoption. We are the proud parents of Julia Cai Yao. After 5 1/2 years of waiting we are thrilled to be a family of four.

Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Katie is a HOOT! Katie says so many funny and sometimes sassy things. I want to write them down to remember them in years to come. I can't remember them all at this moment but here are a few things she has said over the last week to make us laugh. Everytime we get into the car Katie takes her shoes off. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Friday we were home three weeks with Julia. The last 2 weeks we have been very busy. We are settling in nicely to our new routine as a family of four. We have also learned a lot about what Julia likes and does not like. Still loves ketchup. In fact no bottle on a restaurant table is safe. Wants to eat it by the spoonful. Loves the water table. Loves dumping water on her sister. Loves the bathtub.again loves to dump water on her sister. Loves to give kisses. Loves making new friends.

The exhibition of feminist is to celebrate the move of the Women’s Association to Auckland. I wrote a piece on Alexis Hunter’s A Goddess of Justice for the exhibition catalogue. Untitled (Sum of the Parts) by Jonathan Jones, installed in the North Atrium of the Auckland Art Gallery. On Sunday I tried my hand at shooting a moving subject.

Monday, September 24, 2012. I Come From a Land Down Under. COS Vacation: Ile Sainte Marie, 2012. The brousse seemed fine. Until our driver turned out to be horrible! Two collisions, one pedestrian "love tap," one dead dog, and countless "AHHH THIS IS IT" moments later, we made it to Tamatave. The brousse did not look like this when we started the trip. Shayla is ready for anything. Hilarious, once we made it safely back onto dry land. We were not the luckiest travelers on this vacation. He knows what's up.
