Lunes, 30 de mayo de 2011. A while back my friend and incredible blogger Sarah. Did two really funny articles on Stuff Americans Like. And Stuff Europeans Like. One of the insightful entries under Stuff Europeans Like is "Eating the Whole Animal." Given the ready availability of boiled pig blood, stomach, chicken feet, and other internal bits, this is a very true observation. Pig brains. Mixed with eggs. Martes, 24 de mayo de 2011. Oh hey there, cold symptoms! Or the public transit system what with the b...

Where to?: Update
http://letsseehowfarwego.blogspot.com/2012/04/as-means-of-updating-internet-world-on.html
Viernes, 27 de abril de 2012. As a means of updating the internet world on my future activities - which I know you have been dying. To hear about - I will be staying in Spain next year. I am going to get a Masters at the University of Málaga in education. There are two programs I am applying for: one dealing with innovation in education, and the other which is essentially a teaching certificate for people who already have university degrees. Why am I staying? Let me count the ways. So that's it, dwindlin...

Where to?: Two steps to the east, one to the west
http://letsseehowfarwego.blogspot.com/2012/01/two-steps-to-east-one-to-west.html
Jueves, 12 de enero de 2012. Two steps to the east, one to the west. These last two years I've gotten very used to being publicly transported. Living in a northern neighborhood of Málaga and getting down the coast to Fuengirola and later up the mountain to Benalmádena pueblo, my mornings and afternoons were one bus ride after another. This year, the gods smiled on me and gave me a school right in the heart of the city. A short ride on the city bus and there I am. View, photo by José. Teach, Learn, Run.

Where to?: Juan y Medio

Lunes, 28 de noviembre de 2011. Andalucía is blessed with a gem of a local TV network: Canalsur. It's now in HD. Because that's what it needed. It is the go-to network for flamenco contests, knock-off Karlos Arguiñán cooking shows, and, the gem of it's programming in my. Humble opinion, Juan y Medio. Trust in the 'stache. If this man doesn't inspire confidence, I don't know who would. Juan y Medio hosts several programs, but the best, again in my. This Program. Is. So. Good. If you have the chance, I.

Domingo, 24 de julio de 2011. Loyal yet dwindling readership: I'm still alive. I will still be blogging. Let me explain myself. On the positive side: the hours are long but I'm learning lots on how to be a good teacher. I'm living rent-free and my only expenditure is at a fine establishment called Antonio's Bar. The air is cool and refreshing. The countryside is beautiful, bucolic, and I´ve been taking nice runs around the nearby lake. Photo courtesy of Sarah, of Love and Paella. Spinach sheet pan quiche.

Viernes, 4 de mayo de 2012. In which I relive a teenage dream. First, before I begin this post, I am deeply. Apologetic for not having photos of my prom, they are shoved in some box in a closet in North Central Florida. Why would a 24-year-old. Adult who had a particularly. That may end any day now. Want to share pictures of her prom on the internet? This weekend José and I are going to the wedding of his cousin, Almudena. It's a three-day-long. Deja vu. They were, not kidding, prom dresses. Lunes, 29 de agosto de 2011. This weekend my family and I went to Michigan to bury my grandfather. Grandpa Jim died at age 85 a few weeks ago and this past weekend was the burial of his ashes. It was both sad to say goodbye to him and wonderful to see family that I have not seen for many, many years. When packing for the funeral, I frantically came out to tell my mom I had nothing black to wear and we should get something before I go. It was Grandpa Jim, summed up perfectly.
