And so far, with the music up loud, the sun shining and our happy family of three on board, the travel bug lives on and lives loud. So after a short lived deliberation about building a cabin in the garden to create a third bedroom/office, we decided that actually, life was for living and a campervan was a much better option. We did it, we went to Africa!

This week's theme is spring.so I went outside and took a picture of the gorgeous azaleas that are in full bloom in my neighbors yard.these only bloom for a few weeks each year (in late march/april) and they are a sure sign that spring is here. Each piece represents a different natural landscape; hedgerow, forest and meadow, the scenes are inspired by my observations and experiences whilst on a residency at the Scottish Sculpture Workshop in September 2016.

Sunday, October 23, 2011. A few weeks ago we had the great privilege of going to Seattle for my sister's wedding. We had such an excellent time there. Almost all of my extended family came which was AMAZING! After the wedding we traveled down to Olympia to stay with our very hospitable, long-time friends the Penrods. We have always wanted to see their town! I'm pretty sure we annoyed tons of people with our chatting but it made the time fly. Next year we are going to hike N. rim to S rim. Gates and locks...

JayC wants it everyday for his lunch, so I have to double it when I make it so it lasts a couple days at a time.
