We live in a zoo, I mean farm......
We live in a zoo, I mean farm. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. I mow several lawns each week and so I thought I would try mulching with the clippings just to see if it really helped to keep weeds down. I was shocked at how well it worked! This raised bed pulls double duty- It is not only a potato bed but also the compost pile. It houses red wriggler worms that make short work of whatever we put in there! I love my greenhouse! Tomato plants are looking great. Gardens are a lot of work, but so rewarding at the sam...

Things I Know to be True. November 7, 2017. November 6, 2017. 2 Comments on Things I Know to be True. On days when it feels like the world is spinning too fast, has lost it’s humanity, I choose to focus on my truths. The things, big and little, that I know in my soul to be absolute truth. Time goes by way too fast. And there’s not a damn thing you (or I) can do to slow it back down. Be present and enjoy the moment you’re in. Those adorable boys in that picture up top? Katie's New Orleans blog | A documentary of NOLA
Katie's New Orleans blog. A documentary of NOLA. This fall I will be taking a trip to New Orleans, Louisiana with a small group of Photography and Digital Film students. In one week, we will each produce a documentary on the subject of our choice. Since my focus recently has been on documentaries, I thought this would be a great experience for me to work hands on in a new and exciting environment! Thank you for visiting my site and feel free to contact me. The Minneapolis crowd LOOOVED you, @ joshuaradin.

Las Vegas: Day 1. Where better to go after a day exploring one of natures wonders but sin city itself, Las Vegas! We managed to snag pretty good rooms at Caesars because of an Internet deal, so we were all pretty excited. We started the day the American way. Brightly coloured cereal. After a quick (read numerous arguments) discussion about the route and a check of our roadmap we set off for our 9 hour roadtrip. The view from our room was amazing! We could see the bellagio fountains which was a real treat...

Skip to main content. 039;Learning with Richard Schmid'. Bravura Brushwork Balanced by Delicate Subtleties. The paintings of Katie Swatland are an intrinsic dance between reality and rêverie. She approaches the canvas through means of discovery, imparting a sense of playful curiosity throughout a broad range of subject matter. Gestural brushwork combine with areas of transparency, offset by passages of thick impasto paint, all intermingle in a symphony of lost and found edges. See a preview and learn more.
